Except for one thing- "speed". Back in the old UJ days, before you posted something and hit submit, you not only doubled but tripled check your response. Because after that, if you misspelled, mis-quoted or made a false statement, before you spent the next 30 seconds to correct, 2 or 3 UJ'rs were already on it.
You should have seen how Antipop dealt with it way back when.
What did he do? I'm still dealing with UJ anxiety years later. Anytime I post something wrong here I'm like "oh,shit" and rush to correct even though I know I have plenty of time. Razor's edge back then.

The one thing back say in 2012 or so was just the sheer volume of posts and threads. Maybe 20 or 25 threads per page. You would log off at night, go to work, and by the time you logged on in the late afternoon, you would have new and older threads with new posts stretching well into page 2. And then Black December 2012 happened. The site never recovered.

I saw it and it was deliberate. Just haven't seen CQ with a sense of humor since 2016. It threw me off.

"Back in my day there were threads as far as the eye could see. You could roll around in threads for days. You could turn internet off and then wake to feed the roosters and come back and there would be even more threads than the day before. But then, a cold winter came through and took all them threads with it. Boy, what a time to be alive."

Lol.
