Yeah, i don't know how other states handle this, but in Texas the "Car Dealer" lobby has laws in place that car makers cannot sell directly to the consumer. They must go through a dealer. Tesla is a new animal in that regard, since that is how they sell cars, directly to the consumer. So, its a battle that Tesla will win, but its still going on. So, in the meantime they will have to use some kind of loophole to bounce them out of state and back.

Yeah, that is kind of weird and a legal fight the "Car Dealer" lobby will lose in the end.Animal wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 2:47 pmYeah, i don't know how other states handle this, but in Texas the "Car Dealer" lobby has laws in place that car makers cannot sell directly to the consumer. but until they come up with an un-ridiculous looking pickup, they aren't going to be selling much in texas.

We have a bunch of those combo stores around Orlando. There's even a combo Long John Silver's and A&W store I visit once a month or so, and a Pizza Hut / Taco Bell by my office where I sometimes get a pan pizza and a triple soft taco platter.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.
