Revolutionary War.
Would you be a Tory, or a Patriot?
Think hard. Are you conservative or liberal? Conformist or radical?
We’d all like to think we would be revolutionaries, but remember, a lot of Americans were not. They saw themselves as British. Which they were.
I’m up in the air on this one.

Re: Revolutionary War.
When a generation of punks protest around the country because they don't want their feefees hurt, is that revolutionary?
Is this little faggot a revolutionary?

I think you would take the side of which ever would protect your way of making a living, your property and your family. I think these choices typically come down to completely selfish survival reasons and then the history books portray them as larger political ambitions.

Re: Revolutionary War.
We're really moving to a weird place. Traditional liberals and conservatives actually have more in common than the neo-liberalism of today.
The neo-liberalism of today is pure, iron fisted, regimented ideology with no dissent or contrary discussion tolerated. That's something true liberals should find disgusting.

You aren't understanding how this works. To play the game today, you have to recognize no faults (and i mean, zero) in your side of politics and you have to view the other side as the apocalypse (and I mean, the literal end of the world).Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 3:37 pmAnd that's somehow different from Red-Hat Trump supporters?

Well, duh?
It's exhausting being outraged 24x7 but with the help of a healthy diet of propaganda I've achieved it for 9 straight years.

Re: Revolutionary War.
So, is it statist to want to build a wall, or somehow “secure the border,” or is it revolutionary?

Re: Revolutionary War.
Well, I will tell you. If it is revolutionary to distrust government overreach, or to want to secure the border, then I am a revolutionary.
These might seem like conservative principles, but they are not particularly popular in America today within the government and with those in power. They actually go against the status quo.
I thought Trump might be able to do some stuff, but turns out he's just another clown.

Must be. Democrats against the wall. Democrats against voter IDs.allwhitemeat wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:35 pmsecuring the border is vote suppression? oh, do tell....
Democrats campaigning in Mexico.
Some (democratic) states allowing illegals to vote, (local races only; wink, wink, nudge, nudge, don't you know)

I thought you were being serious. my bad. yeah, its not voter suppression to stop people who are ineligible to vote anyway from occupying your country, illegally. its called common sense.Antknot wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 7:54 pmMust be. I had to check to see if Westtexasdunningkruger left that comment. Other than people actually in the government, no one loves the government. Not liberal, or conservative. Government is a necessary evil, otherwise absolutely nothing would get done.
Currently AFK.

Do you have ANY proof of that? Any whatsoever? And do not cite a fox news report, or infowars. Any fucking proof?

Yeah, but if you believed the Republican BS, nationally there's a massive illegal vote that's depriving them of the 90% wins they should be having!Biker wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:40 pmhttps://www.latimes.com/local/californi ... story.html

I'm sorry they just want the government to control everything and make everyone pay for everything by collecting too many taxes. But yeah they dislike them I guess.kwebber wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:09 pmI had to check to see if Westtexasdunningkruger left that comment.
