Dave Bartholomew
(December 24, 1918 – June 23, 2019) 100 years old to help biker
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Bartholomew
David Louis Bartholomew (December 24, 1918 – June 23, 2019) was an American musician, bandleader, composer, arranger and record producer. He was prominent in the music of New Orleans throughout the second half of the 20th century. Originally a trumpeter, he was active in many musical genres, including rhythm and blues, big band, swing music, rock and roll, New Orleans jazz and Dixieland. In his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he was cited as a key figure in the transition from jump blues and swing to R&B and as "one of the Crescent City’s greatest musicians and a true pioneer in the rock and roll revolution."
Many musicians have recorded Bartholomew's songs, but his partnership with Fats Domino produced some of his greatest successes. In the mid-1950s they wrote more than forty hits for Imperial Records, including the Billboard number one pop chart hit "Ain't That a Shame", Bartholomew's other hit songs as a composer included "I Hear You Knocking", "Blue Monday", "I'm Walkin'", "My Ding-A-Ling", and "One Night". He was a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Re: (NSFW) Rest In Peace - Ain't That A Shame
well, fuck. I have been watching that show nearly every night for about a month now. lol. there is much hilarity involved. One thing I learned though, recently. Dog was going in to have a pair of cowboy boots hand made. He has some old guy that makes all of his boots. The guy puts 4" heels on them special for Dog. Dog said that he is only 5'-4" and he doesn't think that looks tough enough for his job.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 9:51 pmDead serious.

i even watched it last night. beth looked great with her saturn 5 missle tits. Dog used his mace can to take down an armed ice addict and then changed his life forever with some enlightened talk about how he needs to get clean. It was very moving.megman wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 12:53 amThis explains a few things.....

Great American Patriot. Joined the Navy right out of HS even though he'd never been on a ship or ever seen the Ocean. IBM's top salesman who finished his yearly quota one year by the end of January. By the early-mid 60's, realized IBM was only interested in the 80" of computers concerned with hardware. Started EDS in Dallas concentrating on the other 20%- software- service. Became a Billionaire. When 2 EDS employees were jailed in
medieval conditions in Tehran during the 1979 crisis, he visited them and promised to get them out. Hired a military commando team who penetrated Iran and got them out. Pissed off the Reagan Administration with his belief that American POW's from the Vietnam War were still being held prisoner. Pissed off the Clinton Administration over his insistence that huge funding was needed to study "Gulf War Syndrome" causes. Warned 25 years ago that NAFTA was the biggest mistake ever made, sucking jobs to Mexico and overseas. Ran for President twice. Got almost 20% of the vote in 1992, surely costing HWB his reelection. Constantly warned of the danger of Fed Govt deficits and spending.

Jim Bouton, a pitcher of modest achievement but a celebrated iconoclast who left a lasting mark on baseball as the author of “Ball Four,” a raunchy, shrewd, irreverent — and best-selling — player’s diary that tainted the game’s wholesome image, died on Wednesday at his home in the Berkshires in Massachusetts. He was 80.
He died after a long struggle with vascular dementia, said his wife, Paula Kurman. Bouton had a stroke in 2012, and in 2017 revealed he had a brain disease called cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
When it was published in 1970, “Ball Four,” which reported on the selfishness, dopiness, childishness and mean spiritedness of young men often lionized for playing a boy’s game very well, was viewed by many readers, either approvingly or not, as a scandalous betrayal of the so-called sanctity of the locker room.
But the book, which was Bouton’s account of the 1969 baseball season, seven years after his big-league debut with the Yankees, had a larger narrative — namely his attempt, at age 30, to salvage a once-promising career by developing the game’s most peculiar and least predictable pitch: the knuckleball.
