Finally energized my new(no autoplay videos please)

All the news from the peanut gallery and where all the nasty trash talk fails miserably.
It can get NSFW-ish here: you have been warned!

I'm just not sure about the math.
At the end of summer we’ll need a 4 year update on how much you saved this summer.

That was a brutal bill you were paying. No doubt you will be glad you went as you did. I left the biz because the lies and other deceptive tools I had to use to get folks to close in a couple hours we’re eating my soul. The company’s work was tip-top. Never, ever a complaint. We were just double what other companies charged for the same equipment.

Did you go with micro-inverters?
No I don't believe so. If I remember the way they explain it, it's in the box on the side of the house.
I didn’t see it in the thread. Did you get a battery backup? If not, for a few grand you’ll have usable solar power when there’s an outage. Otherwise ur stuck like everybody else.

Yeah no, for now I'm stuck. I do have a generator, but no batteries right now. The panels were already 33k. We have to wait on the batteries.

One Powerwall and that gives you the buffer you need to use your solar to near capacity. IIRC you have enough panels to generate 30 amps? That could keep a small AC system going.

Need a transfer switch and whatnot.

I didn't want to focus on how he got the meaning of quick update wrong when the 2 year thing was more baffling. Besides, he is the smartest one up here.

So, it's been one year and some change. My first year, I spent 0$ on the electricity and ~160 for the hookup fee.
Then, for January and February this year I spent ~ 180, plus the 15 ish hook up fee each month. So far, so good.

If you really believed in man made climate change you would move into something more energy efficient and invest in renewables
