I can just imagine how long Bronco owners will be scrubbing bugs off that flat nose. Who here said fuel economy matters? That thing as the aero of a brick

Forerunner is a car. For off roading the Jeep is king at the moment. From what I've heard Ford is taking its best shot at the title. And it might be more than competitive.

Two wheel drive 4Runner, like I own, is a wagon basically. The 4WD 4Runner is still a respected all terrain vehicle worldwide.

Ford bought the rights to the Kube and cross bred it with the Soul?

Re: New Ford Bronco: yay or nay?
Interesting on the towing comment. I brought a '67 Mustang convertible I bought last year home on a UHaul car trailer, and other than the expected hit to the mileage, I never felt the motor struggle, or felt like I was losing ground power-wise. I will say, that the model I have offers different driving modes, and I was in the towing mode. The combo I was towing was at least double what you were towing, weight-wise, so maybe that could be a possibility?CaptQuint wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:31 pmI've used that same truck to tow a generator to a jobsite. I was impressed at the power the truck on the way to pick up the trailer. If I didn't know what was under the hood I would have thought it was a V8. The truck towed the trailer fine as well, until I hit a steep hill and it didn't struggle, but I could see the limitations of the motor as the trailer weighed about 800 pounds and the generator weighed around 600. Towing a car on a trailer or a large boat a long distance would not be fun. But 99% of what people use trucks for I agree that motor does the job.Zerobeat wrote: ↑Fri Sep 18, 2020 12:20 pmI own a 2018 F-150 with the 2.7L EcoBoost. While I've never dyno'd it to verify, I can tell you that it has more torque than the 2006 F-150 5.4L Triton V8 it replaced. I don't doubt the numbers, too much. One caveat to the EcoBoost series: You get economy, or power, but not both. Drive "normally", great mileage. Get a little frisky with the accelerator, not so much. Only regret about the purchase was not springing for the 3.5L EB.

Earlier this year I rent an eco-boost mustang. Same kind of shock after looking under the hood. What the hell? Four cylinders?

What are your thoughts on the 2021 Wagoneer? Very disappointed after all the hype. Maybe they will look better in person.

They should have gone more retro like with the Camaro.
Edit: why not remake the same 70's bronco with newer materials and necessary upgrades, but otherwise the same bronco?

I'm sure it will be a nice big SUV with a luxury ride and limited off road abilities. Lookswise, it appears to be similar to the Ford Explorer. At least the pictures I've seenBurn1dwn wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 3:41 pmWhat are your thoughts on the 2021 Wagoneer? Very disappointed after all the hype. Maybe they will look better in person.

Love the bronco. I had a 77 and we still have a 74 Bronco. A few friends ordered the new one. I can wait to get mine next year.
And that silver one from the first pic is a concept truck.

You know what? I probably didn't have it in tow mode.Zerobeat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:41 pmInteresting on the towing comment.
