Not really. Fellini is arrogant and pretentious. His films are just him masturbating.

Every QT movie is the same, like a comic book with a gore fascination. Terrible.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 5:47 pmGood for him. Tarantino is fantastic.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 5:13 pmEverybody cut Hawk some slack. He's a huge Quentin Tarantino fan

John Wayne criticized the film's iconoclastic approach; in a letter to Eastwood, he wrote, "That isn't what the West was all about. That isn't the American people who settled this country.

Clint's "heroes" are far from heroic. I think Wayne thought they should all be rough tough heroes.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:10 pmPerhaps it was the rape scene?FSchmertz wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:07 pmJohn Wayne criticized the film's iconoclastic approach; in a letter to Eastwood, he wrote, "That isn't what the West was all about. But watch JW in "The Searchers," and I think he's being very selective. Not all of his heroes were heroic either.

Re: best movie moments
In John Wayne's last film "The Shootist" he literally sets up 3 men just so he can kill them. Which in turn turns young Ron Howard into a killer as well.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:25 pmClint's "heroes" are far from heroic. Luc Besson at his best. Gary Oldman deserved an Oscar nomination.
