US States/Canadian Provinces license plates/flags/ capital buildings

All the news from the peanut gallery and where all the nasty trash talk fails miserably.
It can get NSFW-ish here: you have been warned!

Compare(discuss)/Rate(argue). You know the drill. US license plates. No doubt dead last-Texas. WTF? It used to be cowboys in mountains with the shuttle flying overhead. Had no idea the State Artist's job was so endangered.

Last fall in a motel. PU-Alaska- now that's a long drive. Especially when they locked the keys in.

HS- I was going to ask if that was real- and it is. I'm not sure anything can touch that at #1. But I'm sure many will try.

I would be interested to see any other State/Province plates that's subjects are the actual outline of the plate. Very unique.

I think these are dope.

Moved 2.0 to Hollywood last fall. Saw these for the first time and thought they looked super cool.

I saw on an episode of Cajun Pawn Stars the other night that Louisiana used to (WWII era) have the inmates make their license plates out of compressed sugar cane. He said that if you chewed one up you would actually taste the sweetness of the sugar still in the cane.

I started this thread because I've been commuting I-10 the last month and check out the plates out of state. I always drive just below the posted so always have cars passing. (FYI- the highest speed limit (maybe tied elsewhere) in the Country is I-10 (and a small part of I-20)- 80 MPH. It starts in El Paso and ends 400+ miles East about 15 miles West of me. And you guessed it, after all that time there are no major signs warning it's ending. Just a 75MPH sign stuck up in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, beside the usual Arizona, Cali (man have I got a story about Cali plates around here), saw this last trip a Massachusetts, Arkansas and (the mother load) a Rhode Island.
