There's mouse turds all over the fucking place! They must have a whole colony living in here somewhere.

I may go down to the shelter and adopt a cat.

We use to have pest problems at work in our switchgear. Mice, packrats, snakes, all of those assholes would get into the busswork and cause an electrical short. An old farmer suggested to put mothballs around our equipment, " And not that new shit, get the original with that naphtha in it". That old farmer was spot on, even the yellowjackets stay out of my stuff now.

We've never had a problem until this year. I think there might be some new strain of resistant mice or something.

well, i had squirrels get into my attic this year for the very first time. it was during that week of sub freezing weather we had. So, I don't know if your winter was worse than normal, but that might have triggered it.

Absolutely not a single one of my cats knows how to hunt and kill a mouse or a bird. At best, one of them (my little mean-ass bitch Grey) got into a fight with a raccoon. But not even the lizards are scared of my cats. Too fat on kibble, i guess.
