plans for the long weekend?
I am heading the lake house for a few days. Probably leave here Friday and try and beat traffic back on Monday morning. Not looking forward to it. Its always a shit ton of work and i always have to baby sit a bunch of drunks. Plus i have to charge the batteries in my boat.

charging the batteries in your boat is a chore?pork wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 9:50 pm I am heading the lake house for a few days. I have a backhoe at my ranch that I don't use all that much. I bought a solar powered trickle charger that I just leave hooked to it all of the time. They have that shit now to where it won't over charge. So, as long as its daylight, its keeping the battery at 100%. It was super cheap on Amazon.

Checking out the latest car purchase Thursday.
Hooking up the trailer to pick up a tractor for a friend.
Delivering the tractor on Friday and then chilling out until Tuesday when we leave for Port Mansfield for a few days of fishing.

We commissioned some art work that is going to unveiled Friday evening so I'll be in Dallas all weekend. Fine by me as I was just in Oregon last weekend

Re: plans for the long weekend?
its not that bad its just more shit to do. the boat has an inboard tickle system. the issue is that the boat sat since i put it away in October and i dragged it to storage 20 miles away last weekend from the lake house. so ill have to drive up to the lake...then go get the boat and take it back to charge over night then to the lake Saturday. the stupid storage unit doesnt have power. the boat has a large tower so it doenst fit many places.Animal wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 10:10 pmcharging the batteries in your boat is a chore?pork wrote: ↑Wed May 26, 2021 9:50 pm I am heading the lake house for a few days. Having a house warming cookout Sunday, and murdering my youngest's new boyfriend Sunday night after they get up here. Monday I'm going in to work and moving a bunch of fertilizer around.

i went many years without a lake boat. I kept a 36 ft bayliner docked in the bay when i lived in san jose. id use it to fish with client mainly or for a place to crash if i was drinking in the sf area. it had 2 bedrooms a kitchen and a living room. plus i got to write it off as a second home. lost that one in the divorce 13 years ago

Day trip to Omaha tomorrow, early lunch at Joe's crab shack, stop by the Indian motorcycle dealership, then run across the river and waste some money at the casinos.

Re: plans for the long weekend?
Well, this long weekend just started off maybe real bad. We had storms roll through all night last night. maybe 3-4 inches of rain. Was out at a local park on the Guadalupe River around noon enjoying the views. As I was leaving, tons of police, Fire/ Rescue on scene. Somebody told me some family camping in the old State park across the way were kayaking and their kid got sucked under a bridge and was stuck. Rescue diver were frantically trying to get to him/her. Had been underwater maybe 15 minutes. Not good.

You should have fought for the bed. You breed but you don’t seed.disco.moon wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 7:49 pm I'm in the very cool and wet Poconos. Went for a drive. Mostly I'm playing with my nephews (BF's). Freaking toddlers ARE SO HILARIOUS. Barely able to smoke weed, the family up my ass. Slept on a shit air mattress because the breeders get the fucking guest room i guess. So far its a bust.

Flew to Michigan to see my aunt before she passed away from an MS type disease.
Got rip-roaring drunk last night. 6 bottles of Napa Cab including a Caymus. Played about a hundred hands of euchre.
Cold as a witches titty yesterday. High was barely fitty. Nice today.

Was watching GMA this morning. Weather guy on some beach in the NE freezing his ass off. Green Bay had a wind chill of like 28. WTF? June is like 3 days away.
