Other Will Rogers quotes I had to Google:
"Sure, the government can help us on everything – if we just furnish ‘em the money to do it with."
"What the government has got to do is live as cheap as the people." DT #1990, Dec. 20, 1932
"It costs ten times more to govern us than it used to, and we are not governed one-tenth as good." DT #1770, March 27, 1932

You don't need to condemn the whole system to shut down this ridiculous loophole do you? They can change the law later when they have the votes, they can sue if the law is unconstitutional. The safeguard of running away and hiding is unnecessary as well as just absolutely ridiculous. Also seems kinda pointless since the governor will simply introduce a special session the moment they slink back.Biker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 3:15 pmSure, but these instances are so rare that you cannot condemn the entire system because of them.AnalHamster wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 2:59 pm You don't think even dem senators running away and hiding to block a vote is a bit of a farce?
