Currently, the richest 1% hold about 38% of all privately held wealth in the United States. while the bottom 90% held 73.2% of all debt. According to The New York Times, the richest 1 percent in the United States now own more wealth than the bottom 90 percent.
When it was at that level, there were deductions that could be had that would reduce it significantly. Its never been at 70% under the current format.
It was at or above that during America's post war boom, still the greatest on record. Her policy proposals are actually coming from serious economists, of which there are none on the gop side. The 70% rate would apply to income only over 10 million dollars, it would not apply to the first 10 million dollars you earn in a year.

This is why the gop is desperately trying to critique her clothing and having danced in college, they have no arguments to raise on actual policy.

I fully understand her proposal, Im just pointing out that deductions, such as mortgage payments, credit card interest, and other like deduction significantly brought that number down

And if the 70% number was so attractive, how come no other country is following its lead, including France, which dumped its ridiculous 75% rate?
Why would all the deductions magically disappear? Sweden has a 70% rate, they outperform the US on growth along with pretty much any other indicator you can think of.

I'm referring to long term growth, not the figures from the latest quarter. They have central and local income tax as well as payroll tax, it adds up to a marginal top rate of 70%.

WASHINGTON — In an extraordinary break with President Donald Trump, the top two Republicans in Congress said unequivocally Tuesday that Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election and suggested that lawmakers may pass legislation to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., labeled Russia “a menacing government” that does not share U.S. interests and values and said he would be open to placing more sanctions on Russia for interfering in the election.

“They did interfere in our elections — it’s really clear,” Ryan told reporters in Washington. “There should be no doubt about that.”

A few hours later, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., speaking at a news conference, cited “indisputable evidence” that Russia tried to impact the 2016 election.

Twelve Russians with no ties to Trump campaign, thus not collusion

But we know this already, for the real objective is to muddy the waters and make the dumb masses believe that it was rigged
There was collusion, the trump tower meeting attended by his son, son in law and campaign manager, which trump knew about and was explicitly set up to discuss the russians helping the campaign. That same campaign manager then gave valuable campaign data to a russian agent. That's why the new line is that collusion wasn't illegal, remember I love to be buttfucked?

Ummm, no

Tell us precisely what the Russians did to steer the election towards Trump.
Hacked and leaked information harmful to the other side and conducted a social media influence campaign. Even your own party admit it now, it's just you and trump holding the original no collusion no interference line.

He'll have to remain an unindicted co conspirator until he is impeached, which should be shortly after Mueller concludes his investigation.

Do you think the House will impeach him?
The House just passes articles of impeachment, by bare majority. The dems have a majority, so yes, they will vote to impeach him if Mueller has a case. They'd pass articles of impeachment even on a fairly shaky case I suspect.

You're probably thinking of the Senate, which then tries him, and needs a 2/3 supermajority to convict. And yes, I think they probably will if Mueller has a strong case, given the continuing fallout from Trump's trade wars, foreign policy and now the shutdown.
