It wouldn't be the first time it was at 70%. Extreme income inequality isn't good for society.

Currently, the richest 1% hold about 38% of all privately held wealth in the United States. while the bottom 90% held 73.2% of all debt. According to The New York Times, the richest 1 percent in the United States now own more wealth than the bottom 90 percent.

When it was at that level, there were deductions that could be had that would reduce it significantly. Its never been at 70% under the current format.

It was at or above that during America's post war boom, still the greatest on record. Her policy proposals are actually coming from serious economists, of which there are none on the gop side. The 70% rate would apply to income only over 10 million dollars, it would not apply to the first 10 million dollars you earn in a year.

I'm referring to long term growth, not the figures from the latest quarter. They have central and local income tax as well as payroll tax, it adds up to a marginal top rate of 70%.

The House just passes articles of impeachment, by bare majority. The dems have a majority, so yes, they will vote to impeach him if Mueller has a case. They'd pass articles of impeachment even on a fairly shaky case I suspect.

You're probably thinking of the Senate, which then tries him, and needs a 2/3 supermajority to convict. And yes, I think they probably will if Mueller has a strong case, given the continuing fallout from Trump's trade wars, foreign policy and now the shutdown.
