I'm not blaming the aca, I presented an article. The article was on a liberal science forum.

Unlike the 55 MPH Speed Limit or the MLK Jr. Holiday that mandated every state sign up or face federal funding consequences, this wasn't done with the ACA.

Kentucky the largest in breeding, poorest state had a Republican Governor that threatened to end Medicaid and encouraged Health insurers to leave the state.

In Florida, Now Senator Scott and the Republican controlled State Senate required Health Insurance companies to increase their rates by 10% each year for the following 3 years after the passage of the ACA.

For a program of this size to be successful you need everyone to be on board.

Article was from Michigan not Florida or Kentucky.

Yep, and it can be done. Just need a president like Biden to get it fully implemented
I think it works in a lot of other places because they put less in the military than we do. They rely on us to be the bigger military. I'm not sure without decreasing spending on the military, that we could do it with anyone.

Gradual expansion of Medicare is the obvious way to go. Slowly work your way down from the current age, getting the costliest part of the population off first. It’s a government plan, already in place, and so it can be tweaked as needed.
