Well, the dividing lines are fairly clear. The teachers don’t want to go back to work. Those who get paid no matter what don’t want to go back to work.

Those who want Trump to be defeated want this to last as long as possible. So most of the left want the shutdown to continue until November, when the country will be suddenly cured.

We're going to be in a health mess until (and if) we get an effective vaccine, and enough people are vaccinated. My guess it that won't be until the middle of next year, at best.
