A lot of owners are supposedly pissed the punishment was so light. Seems several want the ownership forced to sell and players suspended. Seems many think the punishment should have been to hurt the franchise long term by a significant amount - not for a few weeks.

He really doesn’t. Pitchers don’t have careers ended because of one bad outing. He had ample opportunities to make his case to stay in the majors but didn’t impress over the long term. The fact that he did well in Japan says more about the talent level of Japanese baseball than about his ability to pitch in the majors
