I see we will get the usual "crickets " from RD. Too dumb to do math, too stupid to know football.

i will live my entire life and go to my grave and never figure out that Defense wins super bowls. high powered offense will get you into the game, but the best defense will win the game. I know that and, mother fucker, i can never carry that memory forward to the next year. fuck me.

Yes Sir. And forget the +3. TB will win outright and it has nothing to do with Brady or Mahomes. That Buccaneer defense got them to the SB. They will win it.
I believe I made a guarantee prediction 2 days ago that this SB would not involve Brady or Mahomes but would be the Tampa Bay defense. I rest my case.

A team finally makes a hometown superbowl, Odddmakers make them underdogs and 60% of the public falls for the sucker bet.

Even if KC was the better team on paper, there is no way a playoff team should be underdogs at home this late in the playoffs (and certainly not 3 point underdogs). This should have been a pick em at worst.

I had Tampa on the moneyline at +135. Easiest bet I've made in a while

I soooooooooo wanted to do that! But my dislike of Tom Brady wouldn't let me pull the trigger.

NIce. I ended up taking the 3.5 points on my straight up bet but took the moneyline on a parlay.

Talking about my bets before the game starts falls under the "never count your money while sitting at the table" rule of gambling. One of the reasons that I don't participate in RD's league. I'm not a superstitious person except about my sports book wagering.

Congrats Biker!

I think what started this whole thing was years ago at the old UJ Slappy started a thread boasting of the "easy money" he'd win betting on football. Being the reformed degenerate gambler I am I called him on it and started tracking his weekly picks as if I were his bookie. At years end, IIRC, he was either even or down.

Vegas wasnt built by paying winners.

Here's how we did this year with each game as $100 bet ($100 for a win and pay $110 for a loss):

Biker 57-38-2 +$1,520
Megman 51-42-4 +$480
Cheezy 50-45-2 +$50
B-Tender 47-47-3 -$470
Flumper 42-53-2 -$1,630
Wut 40-53-4 -$1,830
Res Dog 39-56-2 -$2,260
Hawkfan 36-60-1 -$3,000

wow, thanks cheesey. that puts it more into perspective. that's about what i used to lose in a season of betting several college games and then several NFL games. but they were $50 each. My bookie required a payup when you got down $2,000 or right after the super bowl. i would usually have to pay him after the super bowl and never hit that $2,000 mark in a season. In all of the years, he never paid me anything. That damn vig builds up much more than people realize.

Interesting though that Megman essentially took the opposite of my bets, with, I think, two exceptions and I lost $1,400.00 more than he gained.
