BirthStrikers: meet the women who refuse to have children until climate change ends
Then, late last year, she attended a lecture held by the direct action group Extinction Rebellion, which set out starkly the catastrophic reality of the changing climate. That galvanised Pepino, an activist and musician (she is the former singer of Vaults, now Mesadorm), to do research of her own and, eventually, to have a series of sad conversations with Joshua.
“I realised that even though I wanted to have a family at that point, I couldn’t really bring myself to do it,” she says. “I had to say to him: ‘I don’t know if I can do this, considering what we know – if there isn’t a political will to fix this, we really don’t stand much of a chance.’”
And so Pepino decided to publicly announce her decision – strategically making the personal political – by setting up BirthStrike, a voluntary organisation for women and men who have decided not to have children in response to the coming “climate breakdown and civilisation collapse”.
Here is an unpleasant fact: There are too many people in the world; and far too many of the wrong kinds of people in the world.
If you can afford to have kids, spend time with them, raise them, educate them, give them a workable foundation & compass, then by all means have kids. Have more than two. If you're worried about environmental impact, make some changes in your own lifestyle to compensate.
If you think society or schools are going to raise your kids, or you need society's help before you ever even have kids, you probably shouldn't have kids. Not that there isn't the exception, but poverty begets poverty.
A good nuclear war to get rid of about 50% of the population along the coasts and throughout Europe and a prolonged nuclear winter would really solve a lot of the earth's problems.

Anyway, deaf ears, I know.
My sense is that the regular posters in SFW are or would be responsible parents.
“I don’t want to have anyone coming in that’s on welfare,” Trump told Breitbart News in the more-than-40-minute interview in the Oval Office on Monday afternoon. “We have a problem, because we have politicians that are not strong, or they have bad intentions, or they want to get votes, because they think if they come in they’re going to vote Democrat, you know, for the most part.”
