Here's the deal, stupid. They took a list of all of the public jobs that we have and they are prioritizing them in order of their odds of getting infected based on the jobs that they perform. And that is the order that they are vaccinating the public right now. This minute. Since mid December.
now, i would guess that the military personnel are already getting vaccines, but since they aren't public, we don't know and probably won't hear much about that. But I would suspect they were first in line.
Before making an official recommendation, ACIP considered four groups to possibly recommend for early COVID-19 vaccination if supply is limited:
Healthcare personnel
Workers in essential and critical industries
People at high risk for severe COVID-19 illness due to underlying medical conditions
People 65 years and older

how would i have known back when i made that post what day they would roll out the vaccine other than to listen to news reports? I don't work in their labs. I do seem to remember starting a thread many weeks before vaccine was even finished with a target date in the title of "December 15". Because that was something I heard.
