And, there is a good chance you will need to present it nearly everywhere if tyrants get their way.
The tyrants in charge of Rutgers University are requiring full vaccination before you'll be admitted on campus this fall!
You are being daft and short-sighted.
The controversy comes from a very different type of vaccine passport, not one being rolled out at the border, but envisioned for neighborhoods across the US. While this type of local tracking system is often called by the same name, its implications are quite different.

For New York mayoral candidate Andrew Yang, vaccine passports shouldn’t be confined to travel, they should be the key to accessing your “office building or restaurant or whatever.” The presidential candidate turned TV commentator is not alone. A growing number of startups and tech giants are hoping to develop a daily vaccine tracking system.
***

A very appealing vision for some could turn into a dystopian nightmare for millions. Such restrictive passports could mean being locked out of your job, education, or even the ability to shop for food. At a moment when vaccine distribution is highlighting inequalities both locally and internationally, when communities of color and lower-income communities are being systematically underserved, vaccine passports would amplify our medical segregation.
Read the rest, if you want some perspective on the situation.

A little more insight into why its been so difficult to open some schools when the Biden administration wants it, its clear the overwhelming majority of parents want it and the CDC says its safe. Some PTA's have turned into little more than a wing of the Teachers Union advocating for the unions interests.

Teachers Union Honchos Infiltrate PTAs, Depriving Parents Of Their Own Group

the Teacher's Unions are infiltrating and taking over the PTA's? Really?
The Headline is a bit hyperbolic but it does bring awareness to the problem. The PTA is supposed to bring parents and teachers together to address various issues. It is intended to give regular parents a strong voice and a method to directly engage Teachers and school administrators. When some parents are also in the Teachers union and they then go on to leadership positions not intended for teachers or union members it creates a conflict of interest. When that happens that particular PTA then becomes a defacto extension of the Teachers Union.

Oh, I completely get it. That is so wrong on every level. That's like letting bookies get on the board of the NCAA competition committee.

What first caught my attention on this matter was when months ago some particular PTA put out a statement that they "strongly agree" with teachers union that it was too soon to go back to school. This, despite poll after poll of parents being overwhelmingly in favor of going back. Something just didn't add up.

there is no question about it. That is an obvious disconnect from reality. I honestly, can't even imagine that there is a single school in this country right now that isn't open full time. our schools (in Texas) have been open and functioning normally since last August. Its just bizarre to me to think that in this same country there are schools that are completely closed and they are blaming it on the virus. Our schools have stayed open through spikes, hospitals at near capacity, you name it. Have you heard any stories about unusually large numbers of children or teachers dying down here? If that has happened, I haven't heard one thing about it. most teachers that I know have already been vaccinated.

There are reports of union officials telling their union members to not disclose if they have been vaccinated or not. Teachers being vaccinated hurts their bargaining position and deflates the dangerous narrative. Evidence showing schools are safe is all but ignored.

But why in the fuck would a union of teachers be against schools opening? I mean there is only one reason and its because the lazy fucks want to be paid to sit their fucking asses at home.

so, if we have boiled it down to that, then fire every single one of them and start over. They just pinpointed the problem with why our education system sucks.

Capt Stapes may want to change their diets

Preservative in Pop-Tarts, Cheez-Its, hundreds of popular foods may harm immune system

WASHINGTON — Most shoppers probably appreciate preservatives for their ability to keep food around longer before it spoils. Unfortunately, a new report finds hundreds of popular, processed foods may contain one ingredient which harms the human immune system.

Researchers from the Environmental Working Group say nearly 1,250 products contain the shelf life-extending chemical tert-butylhydroquinone, or TBHQ. They find this preservative, used in Pop-Tarts, Rice Krispies Treats, Cheez-Its, and countless other products, disrupts immune health in both animal and non-animal tests. It may even weaken the effectiveness of vaccines against viruses like COVID-19.

Here comes New York's new "Excelsior Pass".

Only needed to get into a couple big stadiums at this point, but if it's successful, it's easy to imagine this being rapidly expanded to involve going to airports, getting on the train, doing all kinds of things out in public.

Yep, and it’s the only reason I took the vaccine. I suspect Europe is going to require vaccinations to get in

Mutations could render current Covid vaccines ineffective in a year or less, epidemiologists warn

Mutations of the coronavirus could render current vaccines ineffective within a year, according to a majority of epidemiologists, virologists and infectious disease specialists surveyed by the People's Vaccine Alliance.

The survey of 77 experts from some of the world's leading academic institutions across 28 countries found that almost a third gave a time frame of nine months or less. Fewer than 1 in 8 said they believed that mutations would never render the current vaccines ineffective.

Two-thirds thought that we had "a year or less before the virus mutates to the extent that the majority of first-generation vaccines are rendered ineffective and new or modified vaccines are required."

The survey, published Tuesday, was carried out by the People's Vaccine Alliance — a coalition of over 50 organizations including African Alliance, Oxfam and UNAIDS — that campaigns for equal global access to Covid vaccines.

Rest
But don't worry, boosters will be available.

Just make sure you keep that vaccine passport up to date...

It would be a shame if you couldn't buy food because you can't prove your are up to date on your covid inoculations.

i wouldn't mind an ID. But I hope they send me a different one than the one they gave me when I got the shot. That one is too big to fit in a wallet and its paper and already all curled up from being folded and crammed in a wallet. It will be illegible in another month or two.

that's exactly what I plan to do. I'm going to copy it and shrink it down just a bit so its the size of a credit card. And then laminate it. there are so many versions of things floating around right now for "official" passport or vaccine cards that I'm not getting one until they narrow it down to a really official one.

I have to wait for the second shot to be recorded. They're maybe additional boosters in the future as well
