My only topic I'll post in here
If Trump wre to get rid of daylight savings time would those who hate him at least give him credit for getting rid of something so archaic and stupid?
If life were fair every guy's dick would be the same size.

Do you mean if trump actually stopped attacking dead war heros and undercutting sanctions for long enough to find out what that is and take a personal interest, or just be in office when someone else arranges it as he plays golf?
Do you see the difference?

I'd say that's fine, I don't care either way, but I wouldn't see it as an historic success.

To be honest, I see the sudden change on the sanctions as an interesting move in his part. Not that he's undercutting his staff, he's all about the chaos, but looking at it from the perspective of showmanship. He's trying to get Tubby McRocketbutt to the table and sanctions just cause him to dig in his heels. Here Trump stagemanaged a show of support for Un so he can come back and say "I just went against all my experts and did this for you. Let's show them it's worth it" but that is my personal take.AnalHamster wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 6:20 pm Do you mean if trump actually stopped attacking dead war heros and undercutting sanctions for long enough to find out what that is and take a personal interest, or just be in office when someone else arranges it as he plays golf?

Well we know he undercut his staff who'd worked on this for months, because his whitehouse leaks like a sieve and always has. This was just trump's whimsy, the planned and discussed policy was enforcing the sanctions.Blast wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:34 pmTo be honest, I see the sudden change on the sanctions as an interesting move in his part. Trump doesn't seem to have any particular plan other than keeping giving things to NK with nothing in return in the hopes they'll play nice. If he had an aim in mind I expect it was just heading off a missile test from the missile testing site Kim has been rebuilding since the summit collapse. Russia and China have been flaunting the sanctions more openly since Trump brought Kim in from the cold, that's what the new sanctions were about.

North Korea Korea a history of getting stuff for nothing, the reactors that Clinton gave then, the stuff Dubya gave him, Can't remember what Obama did. China and Russia are going to flaunt it no matter what, he's their destablizing factor and can push him to do what they want.AnalHamster wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:45 pmWell we know he undercut his staff who'd worked on this for months, because his whitehouse leaks like a sieve and always has. On another aside, if I were Putin, I'd be keeping a very close eye on China. Their military development and insatiable lust for natural resources could possibly create tensions on the continent.

Nope, in previous deals there were costs and verification. Free shit is the trump approach.Blast wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:52 pmNorth Korea Korea a history of getting stuff for nothing, the reactors that Clinton gave then, the stuff Dubya gave him, Can't remember what Obama did. Re: My only topic I'll post in here
According to the Uniform Time Act of 1966, states don't actually need to ask permission from the federal government to quit observing DST. By either state or governor decree, each individual state can simply quit observing it and stay on standard time all year around. Here in Florida, many (not me) want to stay in perpetual DST all year around, so instead of moving back an hour near the beginning of November. But to do that, we'd need the US Congress' to amend the UTA to allow it, and there really isn't that much momentum in the current Congress to do so .
Due to our more southerly position we don't really show that much difference in having and not having DST, which is the reason Hawaii doesn't observe DST, either. We could easily just stay in standard time, and live with our summer evenings getting dark a bit sooner. Others want as much daylight as possible later in the day, and are willing to sacrifice a sunny hour or so in the morning. Not me, but whatevs, let's make up our minds already.

If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

ISIS is not defeated, thinking they are and taking the pressure off would be a disaster.

Well, in terms of territory. Ideologically speaking I'm not sure that can ever be done. In general though I agree with the sentiment. Now is not the time to get cocky and like burn said I hope we dont leave those groups hanging. In fact, I'd almost say they (ISIS) are more dangerous now because now they are all hidden which means more guerrilla style attacks or incredibly difficult to stop terrorist attacks. As long as the mindset and will is there they will always be a threat. At least until the newest dipshits come along.AnalHamster wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 10:54 am ISIS is not defeated, thinking they are and taking the pressure off would be a disaster.

It's a forever war. Trump is clearly going to repeat Obama's mistake and ease the pressure, so the next potus is just going to have to saddle up again. Well be dealing with the legacy of Bush's invasion for decades more yet.CHEEZY17 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:24 amWell, in terms of territory.
