40 years? damn, dude, i don't even live there and know that is bullshit.

Up until 2016, Colorado supermarkets, convenience stores, and big-box stores like Walmart—most of which were chains—were allowed to sell only 3.2 percent beer. This was, effectively, a way to keep big corporations from becoming major players in the alcohol retail game.

My mistake, Colorado would only let liquor stores sell full strength beer up until 2016. Grocery stores and the Walmart type stores were relegated to selling 3.2 beer. It was out of habit that I never bought beer at the grocery store and it was mostly due to poor selection.

Pretty sure that went by the wayside back in the 1980s. Back when the federal government was exerting pressure on states to make legal drinking age 21.

Once you get out of Cook and its surrounding counties, Illinois is actually a pretty cool state. The whole south end of state below Springfield is basically Kentucky, but in a much better way.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Agreed. Except for the Pine Barrens, New Jersey has no redeeming qualities...
Live where I live in NJ. You'll swear you're South of the Mason Dixon line.

P.S. And the line is really just South of Trenton anyhow.

No they are not.
What do the numbers mean?
I looked down through how they do the math and its pretty ridiculous. For example, one criteria they give you is based on the number of law enforcement that you have per capita. And depending on that number you can get a very high score. over 7 points out of 100 come from that score alone. Well, if you have a shit load of crime then you are going to have a shit load of cops. So, its sort of a dumb matrix. In their heads coming up with it, I'm sure they felt like more cops = safer place to live. But, I would suggest just the opposite.

You get super high points for "public transportation". Which we have very little of in Texas, because our density is more spread out and we just don't have the inner city congestion of some parts of the country. There are probably some that would argue, in terms of quality of life, that the more public transportation there is, the more congested things are and the lower the quality of life.
My town has a Chief, Captain, 5 Sergeants and 19 patrol officers. This seems excessive for a 4 square mile town.
NJ has a zillion dinky little towns with all their "services" and schools 'n shit. It's a major reason our property taxes are so high.

Really. I live here and I didn't get it. I thought he was referring to all those food trailers found in NJ. You know, throw a cat and all that. Rounding up the local wildlife is actually a good idea. Profit and everything.
