its a bit hard for me to understand that the point has to be explained. It seems pretty obvious (to me) that his point, or the doctor's point, was to make the claim that getting a vaccine doesn't DEcrease your odds at all of catching the virus. Which, by itself, would be a pretty scary thought to people that don't know anymore than that.

If 10,000 people a day were getting sick a few months ago and now that number is 300 per day, then something has changed. It doesn't really matter if 1/2 of those getting sick are vaccinated or not.

And if the number dying per day has dropped dramatically over that same time frame, then that reinforces the idea that something has changed.
