I don't usually talk about what a user has privately PM'd me about some aspect of this board, but I'll loosen that rule just this once for full clarity.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 10:14 pmYeah, I'm confused. Now 2 mods said they locked it. Can not someone in charge just investigate what happened and report?CaptQuint wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 9:49 pmQillerDaemon wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 9:48 pm I only locked the thread, someone else totally blew away that damn whole forum.
Probably needed to be done. I remember when Hoover blew away Suzy's forum, now that was a sad day.
smart ass bitch PM'd me this morning about either locking that thread or deleting it entirely. After a short discussion about it, since it was the top thread in that forum, she and I thought it'd be fine to lock the thread, and she'd remove the pics she didn't want there any longer. Biker may have come along later and thought he'd locked it, and that's fine. Then even a little later Hawk came along and deleted the entire forum, threads and all. I know both Biker and Hawk had their reasons, and it's always been my position as board admin (BRR is the actual site admin, fyi) to support the decisions of the mods, as long as I see they are not vengefully abusing their mod privileges. Same with me, I don't want to be seen as abusing my admin privileges or being biased against any of the users on this board. So I tend to allow a lot of board drama as long as it doesn't make any user overly uncomfortable to visit the board. I understand smart ass bitch's discomfort, those pics were for the members of this board and should not have been available for viewing by non-board members. Later I'll write her a note to her personal email apologizing for the actions of this board.
The NSFW forum should have only been open to actual registered board members, at least that's the way I had set up the forum originally. I should have done more testing and maintenance on that forum to ensure it was open only to registered board members, and for that failing I'm truly sorry that it wasn't, and that it may lead to an important member of this board not coming back.
