I don't know how many times I have said this over the past few days. Is it not too late to still do this? Even drones could accomplish this.

I think we can agree with a lot of that. But when Cunt essentially mocks 12 dead servicemembers with with his flippant "tissue" remark, I'm pretty sure you can agree the backlash is not only warranted, but any opinions he has on any similar subject in the future is null and void.

KABUL—Now that Allah has seen fit to bless the Taliban with bountiful weapons and equipment from the U.S. Military, terrorists around Afghanistan have built an already thriving chain of U.S. Army Surplus stores.

"We need weapons to kill and subjugate the Afghan people under Sharia Law, but there's just too much gear here!" said local Taliban leader Bob Muhammed. "There's, like, billions of dollars and 20 years worth of weaponry around here, and now I can build a thriving business out of selling my wares to other terrorist folk who happen to pass through! Allah be praised!"

Although the merchandise will not be available to the general public (for obvious reasons), Muhammed's Army Surplus will feature a full selection of deadly weaponry, ammunition, combat boots, MREs, helmets, hashish, and whatever else a soldier of Allah may need.

If successful, Bob Muhammed hopes to open more stores in Iraq and Syria.

The U.S. Government has taken note as new store locations open up for future drone pilot target practice.

It's only a slight exaggeration.
That weaponry and equipment will be on the black market soon if it isn't already. In effect our tax dollars will be indirectly funding Taliban activities. The shockwaves from this clusterfuck are going to be felt for years.

I'd imagine China and Russia both wouldn't mind getting ahold of some of that stuff.

"Another official said that while there are no definitive numbers yet, the current intelligence assessment was that the Taliban are believed to control more than 2,000 armored vehicles, including U.S. Humvees, and up to 40 aircraft potentially including UH-60 Black Hawks, scout attack helicopters, and ScanEagle military drones."
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerosp ... 021-08-19/

The reports are all over the place. Ive read as many as 75,000 vehicles left behind along with weapons etc.
While we may not now, or ever, know how much the administration left behind the fact remains and is unquestionable, that they left behind a lot.

Now see that's different. According to the reuters article, these military equipment they are sighting are the ones we "sold" to the Afghan govt over the years. It has nothing to do with our military "leaving" or "forgetting" to withdraw equipment that fell into the Taliban hands. We are all aware by now our President (50 year career politician) is a dementia carrot with no experience in military or foreign policy. But, our military is, if anything, very efficient in military withdrawals at the whims of politicians. We have no need to embellish our opinions with made up half-truths. That's what the liberals do.

if i recall the rules of engagement allow you to shoot at the equipment of your opponent. just a guess but if it rolls or flies we know the coordinates of every vehicle left behind. lets hope what ever was left behind was strategic and we send them a get well soon missile to each location.

Exactly. If you think we let the Afghan army have any state of the art anything, you are nuts. Night vision equipment that can be bought anywhere on the black market, aged hummers, guns ammo. Any Drones, advanced aircraft, etc have already been plotted and awaiting orders for the missile up the ass trick.

I’m willing to bet that The technology in the aircraft left behind is not the current revision. I’m also willing to bet that Chin, Russia, Israel, Germany,England, France and most any other country have already got the plans for the latest stuff.

The Chicoms had The Blackhawk since the 80's. They have their own version in service since 2013 and Pakistan allowed The Chinese Military to inspect the one that was abandoned in the Bin Laden raid.

Chinese military engineers likely got to examine the wreckage of the U.S. stealth helicopter that crashed during the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan, according to news reports.

"We have reason to suspect China was given access, but we cannot confirm it definitively. We have strong suspicions," a U.S. official told CNN.

Pakistani intelligence operatives likely gave the Chinese access to the wreckage, the New York Times reported, citing American officials and other intelligence sources.

The Chinese engineers were able to photograph the wreckage and take samples of the stealth skin that helps the chopper avoid radar detection, intelligence sources told the Financial Times.

When the aircraft crashed during the raid that killed the al Qaeda leader in May, Navy SEALs destroyed most of it to protect the technology. But the tail section remained mostly intact and it was that area that the Chinese engineers examined, according to the New York Times report.

U.S. intelligence is basing its opinion that the Chinese got access to the stealth copter on intercepted phone conversations, the Times reported.

A U.S. official says “we have reason to suspect China was given access but we cannot confirm it definitively. We have strong suspicions.”

Pakistani officials contacted by the New York Times refused comment on the matter. The Financial Times said a Pakistani official denied the accusations.

Both newspapers noted that China and Pakistan enjoy a longstanding military relationship.

The raid that killed bin Laden, staged without informing Pakistan, stoked tensions between the U.S. and Pakistan.

In July, the U.S. said it was withholding $800 million in aid to Pakistan.

"They've taken some steps that have given us reason to pause on some of the aid which we're giving to the military, and we're trying to work through that," White House Chief of Staff William Daley said at the time.

The Blackhawk is based on a civilian model helicopter designed in the 70's. They have been sold to everyone, China included

Like CQ said. The bin-Laden raid is filtered down to the public like it was some whiz bang tech marvel carried out with 100% precision when really, once the military stopped slapping their backs on getting him and OP guys started evaluating the overall mission results, it was pretty grim watching even considering the difficulty of the mission.
