And they kept one of their #2's.BigRedRetard wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 10:30 pm As a Jet fan, I am not happy about this. The Jets offensive line stinks. Rodgers just may get killed. At least Zach can scramble in the backfield. The Jets will com in last place this year. I wish I could quit them.
If Rodgers is as advertised and they can keep him standing, next year's #1 is likely to be way down the list.
It's supposedly a pretty crappy draft, next year is expected to be better.

If that statement above holds true, then that means Rodgers met their performance requirements and then it would not be only for the merchandising and ticket sales. I think they have high hopes to get 1 or 2 years of stellar performance out of him, but I also think that they feel as though the downside is still not bad in terms of tickets and merchandise. I am sure that they have hopes of repeating what Tampa Bay did with Brady.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 1:54 amYou think the NY Jets gave up...
2 spots in the 1st round of this week's draft
A 2nd round pick in this week's draft
A 6th round pick in this week's draft
A 2024 draft pick that will probably be a 1st round
And they'll pay Rodgers $59.5 million bucks this year
So they can sell some jerseys?

Unless they raise prices, ticket sales will have very little to do with it. The Jets have no problem filling the seats even without Rodgers.Ricrude wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 1:56 pmHe will sell jerseys and put butt's in seats.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 1:15 pmIf that statement above holds true, then that means Rodgers met their performance requirements and then it would not be only for the merchandising and ticket sales. The Jets were #2 in the league last year in avg home attendance and #2 in avg overall attendance.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 2:15 pmOctober 27, 2022: The last time the Jets had a home sellout was Oct. 13, 2019 when they beat the Cowboys.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 2:02 pmUnless they raise prices, ticket sales will have very little to do with it. It is one of those both teams did well things.
If GB drafts well and they were right on the young QB, they win.
If Rogers acts like Rogers for a year, the Jets win.
The Jets OL is not terrible, adding a healthy tackle will go along ways, and their D is way better than GBs.
Moving from 15 to 13 jumps the Patriots, expect a TE at 13 with NE being pissed about it and maybe trading up. And a tackle in the second round.
I predict GB with 9.5 wins this year, and the Jets at 12.5
The Jets are still not better than KC, Cincy or Buff, but they are way better than they were in Jan
And the NFC is a crap shoot, maybe that GB coach can call plays and offense like he wants and they show some life. I say both teams won that switch.

That's a pretty ballsy prediction considering the schedule hasn't been released yet.

This is kind of hard to believe, but now that Aaron Rogers has moved on, that makes Dak Prescott the longest starting quarterback on a team.

You know who has almost identical stats as Dak Prescott?
Kirk Cousins.

Just read that Rodgers restructured his deal. He's only making $1.165 million this season (the league minimum) so the Jets can stay under the cap.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 6:05 pmReservoir Dog wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 1:54 amAnd they'll pay Rodgers $59.5 million bucks this year
