Posts like these are great way to tell who really understands the issue and who doesnt. Siggy and Annie clearly dont. They are more interested in promoting a false narrative.
No one is opposed to teaching about slavery.
The actual issue is teachers using divisive theories and language in their lessons. The real issue is using a lesson plan that advocates that minorities are perpetual victims and that white folks are always oppressors; that white kids should somehow feel guilty simply because they are white. Lessons based in CRT have no place in a kids classroom. That is the issue.
And please dont even try the "Its not even a real thing" bullshit. We've posted countless videos and stories of it happening. It is happening so much the largest teachers union in the country has vowed to fight for any teacher that gets in trouble for teaching CRT based lessons.
