True enough. Each party has some layers of bullshit that a rational person has to be able to sift through.B-Tender wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:18 amFuck man, I know I'm not the smartest guy around, but following the dogma of any group is lazy minded. Some people fight for free speech; even speech that is offensive or of which you dont agree.
Others fight to shut down everything they dont agree with...and these are the people that think theyre on the right side of history.

I volunteered and went into delayed entry in H.S. and entered service when I graduated to defend our country and everything it stood for. I can't help but think that many on this site when they were young were also taught to respect the flag and work together in order to build a proud nation. We had community, church and school to help. Everyone pitched in to an extent and your police and teachers were respected members of the community. We didn't have the level of bullshit back then that we do today. It is truly a marked difference from 40 years ago...

You can always tell who hasn't been at this game for too long because their memories only begin with what they've learned from their echo chamber. The rest of us remember free speech zones and I'm a uniter not a divider, then we see it snowball into a candidate calling for their cult to knock the hell out of protestors, calling all brown people terrorists murderers rapists, and incite an insurrection at the capitol when he loses. But sure, it's not them who dragged the country down, just the people who opposed their divisive rhetoric.

I've personally never done any of that...but I support your right to say it although it's obvious you didn't have a happy childhood. That's one of the many reasons I served.dot wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:25 pm You can always tell who hasn't been at this game for too long because their memories only begin with what they've learned from their echo chamber. Yes, like "Don't say gay.", banning books, stripping away womens rights. Those are things on the right side of history. Sure.

What hate? I asked a legitimate question which you sidestepped about your own beliefs, something you put on the table by saying you don't do only you weren't specific. So who's picking a fight and who's hating, because I'm just asking a question.

OK...I'll play...my comment was directed in response to Cheesy and yes...gave my opinion that questioned what has happened to our American society over the last 40 years as an overall. I blamed no one in particular. Then you generously made your entrance and chirped in with your comment, not question:

I said I've never done any of these thing's but supported YOUR right to say it. How much more specific do you need? I don't blame races, I don't condone cults, or insurrections.
Looks a little hateful when you read it as MOST OF US would think, but I do appreciate your contribution to my continued edification on Forum Board etiquette.

Re: Political cartoon and meme thread for both sides of the spectrum.
You quoted me, you say you never did any of those things, but you still fail to address said things which is what I questioned. I questioned it based on your posting history, especially since you literally just posted what your echo chamber would have you believe is that liberals line up with Nazis. The problem, as indicated by my post, is that those of us who've been doing this a while remember how things ran with Bush, ran counter to during Obama, and then ramped up severely during Trump. A length of time that showed reality as being opposite to your supplied picture. Some have even longer memories than that and predate even me on this board and its previous life. Now because you are saying you don't condone cults or insurrections, and yet you're a pretty staunch albeit delusional Trump supporter, I questioned what it is you think you're actually supporting around here. That's not being hateful, that's giving you the opportunity to stamp out for yourself what your limits of your support are. I think you're easily misled based on your memes and finds and opinions, and that does not support your claim to not condone the cult and violence being fomented by the current rightwing population. So I'm giving you the chance to show what kind of personality you have. Is it the kind that's going to go with the crowd calling for an overturned election by any violent means necessary, or are you the kind to stand up to that pressure and tell your guys they've gone too far, holding them accountable for rebelling against that which you say you fought to defend?Ricrude wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 6:28 pm OK...I'll play...my comment was directed in response to Cheesy and yes...gave my opinion that questioned what has happened to our American society over the last 40 years as an overall. Find where Biden's economic based bills say Bidenomics, you might learn a thing or two about nomenclature.
