Actually, the highest paid (non-foremen) are the really skilled concrete finishers (curb builders, structural concrete finishers, etc). The ones that can create the stuff that makes the most money and do it with the least problems. That not only requires skill at finishing concrete, but understanding enough math to layout complicated forms and such. A finish motor grader operator would be in the same category of pay, but most of my foremen on the grading crews run the motor graders. A track hoe takes a pretty skilled operator that makes good pay. Haul truck drivers make really good pay because they not only have to have a CDL but they also have to be able to operate every piece of equipment I have in order to load or unload it on a trailer.

if you were ever on a slipform paver you would think the operator of that machine would be the highest paid on the crew, but that wouldn't be the case. the machine is pretty complicated to operate, but in exchange for how hard the alternative jobs are on that crew, that guy isn't the highest paid. But he can certainly have an impact on how hard or how easy the other jobs are depending on how he operates the machine and how he controls the concrete quality going through it. Hell the guy dumping the truck, that does no more than move the chute around, has a huge bearing on the rest of the crew because he's the first to see the concrete coming out of the truck to gauge the slump and consistency.

rusty crawford that tried to slice the guys tires after he ripped rusty off for a quarter pound of weed smoked dope with his grandma. She wanted to know what all the fuss was about and he had recently had his mom find his stash and she told grandma about it.So grandma called rusty one day and made up some reason that she needed him to come to her house and when he got there she told him that was all a ruse and she wanted to smoke some. She must have been like 75 or so at the time. This was probably about '79 or 80 and pretty much everyone was smoking dope. It was funny at parties because the chearleaders would show up and you'd watch them try to be all inconspicuous (sp?) leaving the party one by one after whispering to one another,than a few minutes later they'd come back into the party and be all giggly stupid. I had an incident where police found my stash and when the sherriff talked to my parents he was like "it's an epidemic,I mean every kid it seems like is smoking grass".

kind of reminds me of a while back when I went to wrestling.It was advertised family friendly but before the matches they were playing all that hip hop crap or whatever,the stuff where it's just profanity strung together. So there was a little girl maybe 4 or 5 she started twerking and then a little boy he was probably like 3 he went up behind her and started humping her the mother was white but the kids were mixed and she's yelling "hit that shit laquanda,hit that shit!" Everyone was laughing about it and I just thought "i guess family friendly has a different meaning now".
