So you want to become an active member of our delightful and interesting board. Congratulations, we'd love to welcome you to it so you can join in on all the fun!

UJR is the remnants of the old and very dead UselessJunk board that died a number of years ago. One morning Hoover stomped on the server's mice, and that's all gone. We've tried as old members to keep the hamster wheel going as best we can, to stoke the flames of true friendship from the old board, along with all the shared memories of many a wasted hour posting nothing of any actual consequence.

But let's face it, there are a lot of spammers who sign up for these boards, not to be an active member but to try to sell us shit we don't want or need. We won't allow that. We've tried to make it hard for spammers to sign up, but it's a constant effort, and we sometimes fail at it.

In that regards, to bring on new and active members to the discussions, but prevent filthy spammers from having the chance, I've changed how new members can register. It's a two-step process now. Read carefully!

The first step is to register as usual. The admins and mods will see new member notifications, and almost immediately will move your membership to an inactive status. Don't worry! Your membership exists, just in a waiting state for the next step.

The second step is to write me (QillerDaemon) an email indicating you're an actual person with no nefarious intents who desires to join us. This must be with the email address you used to register! The proper email address to write me is "qillerdaemon@hotmail.com". The subject line should show a few words about becoming an active member, and in the body give me your new UJR member name, that you're a real person, and ask me nicely you want to have your member name activated. Once I have your email, I will reply back with a welcome note, along with your new temporary password. It is important that you change the password on your first visit to the board and keep it safe.

This, though, is critical: until I get that email from you indicating your actual desire to be an active member of UJR, and from the email address you registered with, you cannot log into the board. So you must write me that email as soon as you can, ideally just after you did your initial member registration.

If within a week or so you haven't sent me that activation request email, your member name will be deleted without prejudice. You will have to start the process all over. Sorry, but not sorry. I try to check my Hotmail email box every day, but it might take a day or two to reply back, be patient.

We look forward to all the crap and nonsense you can add to our small but loving board, and do request that your first post be a shared pic or two of someone's (preferably female) titties for us to amuse ourselves to or mercilessly critique. Maybe both. We're funny that way.
