I'm real sorry to hear about salty. It's a such a shame. He was super kind and according to his obit really special.

What have you guys been up to??!

I had a hard time getting back in because of password issues but I'm here πŸ€—β™₯️

For a long while there I thought that I was actually banned because of the whole Howie situation, I must say I'm glad to not see him here but I did learn a lot of tough lessons from the whole scene.

On my end, my son did some missionary work in Morocco in October so that was really awesome and made me so proud of him (even though he is a Christian LOL).

Me and the boyfriend are going on our 12th Year together! He's almost done with his apprenticeship in a local union and got a heckin raise. I was recently awarded with a raise and a bonus too from my corporate job so that was awesome. I'm still working from home.

On a more exciting note I am going to Ireland in May!!! My best friend of 32 years and I, and her cousin have planned a trip to drive the Wild Atlantic Way or at least a portion of it cuz we only have eight days. But they're in Oklahoma and I'm flying out of Newark and we'll meet at the Dublin Airport!

I got to admit it is definitely one of our more wacky ideas! I've done a lot of studying and we already have the course plotted for the most part; lots of castles, an evening "hot tub boat tour" And we'll be staying at some really cool airbnbs.

So if anyone has any tips about Ireland I would love to hear them! The car is in my name because I will get there about 4 hours earlier than they arrive, so what I'm thinking is that will give me time to practice in the car - maybe in the airport parking lot? Or if I get brave maybe I'll drive around Dublin LOL I've studied and studied maps for 2 months I can't wait.

A picture of my Bearkitty and I last weekend before the Jersey City St. Patrick's Day parade. I got to walk in it!

Welcome back. Congrats on the job stuff and *high five* for raising a fine young man. I believe Howie is perma-banned but I'm not positive on that one.

Thanks!! Yeah he's a good one. 25yo already. Blows my mind and him and his girlfriend are almost a year together ❀ it's wild he went to church as a young boy and a toddler but he would go for like "donut Sundays" LOL and whatever trips they were going on - it was only in the last 2 years that he found a church that he really liked and ever since then has been a big part of it, he's even on the production team because they broadcast live. he's a good egg. He's applying for a union job on March 25th so I'm really hoping that goes well!

Good luck with rewiring your brain to drive on the left. Made a trip to New Zealand many years ago and it took concentration to make turns correctly so we ended up in the correct lane. Report back on the pasties, black pudding, and fish pie.

Welcome back!

I'd definitely recommend doing some practice driving in the parking lot. You'll be driving from the right side in the left lane & it is a bit disorienting at first. Also, don't forget to get an international driving license.

And like WBW suggested, pay attention on the turns. I had a co-worker that married a Brit guy and they went to live in England. She had probably been there a year or two and ending up making a left turn but into the wrong lane and ended up in a crash and dying. Only about 32 or so.

Without knowing exactly where you are going, maybe check out some of the distilleries or breweries? Probably lots of castles and historic sites to see.

This looks like it will cover at least some of the area you'll be travelling or at least maybe give you some of ideas for things to do

I think I'll be all right, I'm not doing all the driving. And we did not get a manual even though all three of us know how to drive a manual that is not the time to drive a backwards manual LOL so we got an automatic we are going to be doing mostly rural driving there will be no highway driving as far as I can tell we want to stay off the beaten path. Oh and there's not enough money in the world that would get me to try anything named blood pudding, like it makes me want to barf just thinking about it!

We're starting out in Kilkenny with a room booked at a really cool looking pub/inn and then the rest along the way in this pictures. The one thing I really really wanna see is Phil Lynott's statue in Dublin.

According to an Ireland travel planning group that the three of us are in we won't need an international driving license. And I rented the car through New Way Car Hire service which is an Irish company and I scoured the website and there is no mention whatsoever about having to have an international driver's license. But now I'm paranoid so I'm going to further investigate.

All three of us really want to go to Dingle so that is on the list some of it we're going to wing and do stuff as we're driving.

Don't get me started lol I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church so personally I have a distaste for the whole scene. And I've been in practicing Pagan since I was 18 years old but it's only done good things for him. It has created a lot of colorful debates! And thank you!

So you're staying busy. Glad to hear it. I'm still in the shit, except now the company has foodies out that I make a good consultant for troubled farms and has been sending me to Michigan to get their shit straight. Still playing around in the shop, btw that latch you're using the bottle opener for, send me a picture of it, maybe I can make something that fits better.
