I think Mahomes bitch was that he had been lining up like that the entire game and they never called it until that play. Whatever the complaint, he was definitely lined up in the neutral zone.

They did the same thing in the 2019 AFC Championship Game albeit on defense. Tom Brady threw an INT that should have ended the game but play was called back and Patriots ended up winning in OT.
