Good luck with Duke...our co-op had the power back on in about 6 hours...Everyone else with Duke is still waiting as of now.

I've always both admired and hated the morning after a hurricane goes by. It scrapes out the local weather for a day or two until wind patterns fall back into place. But it's almost always so oddly calm after the bands pass, making it pleasant to assess the destruction afterwards.

Here in Orlando, we got little else but a good amount of rain and not the worst wind. A lot of palm fronds and dead limbs to pick up.

I'll take reasonable bets that we'll still have hurricanes into December. :ugeek:

Storm wrecked my vacation plans to Ashville, NC. Was going to the Biltmore to see the Chihuli (sp?) Blown glass. Oops.
If life were fair every guy's dick would be the same size.

I highly recommend a visit to Biltmore at least once...It's truly a great place to see if you have never been there before. Asheville looks like a war zone but Chimney Rock NC was absolutely devastated.
