Happy new year!

All the news from the peanut gallery and where all the nasty trash talk fails miserably.
It can get NSFW-ish here: you have been warned!

I figure most of you are recovering from staying up past 8 last night. Happy new year you old farts.

I’ll have you know that I was up at midnight. The fact that I had to pee has no bearing on the situation.

I was thinking "happy new year you filthy animal!" But I think it was really "merry Christmas you filthy animal" that scene from home alone?

Congrats! Do you miss it at all or just the social aspects of it?

I don't really miss anything about it other than, around the holidays I wanted the holiday flavors, the spicy drinks or whatnot. Those feelings are very fleeting though. I thoroughly enjoy making better decisions.

The social aspect doesn't bother me either. I had surrounded myself with a crew of Highly toxic people. I had a supposed best friend who gave me nothing but drama and trouble since 2011. Since I don't drink anymore I don't see her because I am of no use to her.

The party crew in Pennsylvania kind of splintered years ago, and the only reason me and the boyfriend went out there was to party. So I have spent roughly 6 months being a complete homebody, journaling, learning, and preparing for my next trip to ireland!

Absolutely! It's been a bumpy ride, but I'm comfortable now.

Congrats. I took a year off from alcohol awhile back. I realized that I had things to deal with that weren't caused by alcohol. Best of luck to you.
