So in 6 months when WWIII hasn't started we should revisit this thread and I expect full mea culpa's from the retards.
Imagine thinking that a man seeking a peace agreement is the equivalent to starting a world war. The leftist cunts are that stupid
but he didn't invite ukraine to the table. when you start from scratch you have to involve every country in the world at the table so that you get more accomplished. You never start just talking one on one with the two sides to see where common ground might lie.
that's why attorney's immediately hold a trial and don't attempt to resolve it first. its also why mediaters always put both sides in the same room while they discuss a resolution.
Are you being facetious or are you just playing stupid?
i am being facetious. I just don't see a problem with Trump wanting to meet with Putin to discuss what it would take to end the war. Why not start there? Zelensky has made it clear that he will not accept anything short of giving up nothing at all. Everyone knows his position. But what is Putin's position? I haven't seen anyone else even make an attempt at anything.
do you really think there will be any kind of agreed upon peace deal without ukraine "at the table"? my god, they are at square one. I know you are just looking for things to call out, but at least let them get past the first step.
That is not true.
Zelensky said Ukraine will not accept any deal if Ukraine isn't invited to the table.
Ukraine isn't funding their war and can't continue fighting without America's money. Zelensky is a coke head. Why do they need to be in the negotiations?

I bet you think that our own govt didn’t orchestrate the 2014 color revolution. Amirite?
I have no idea one way or the other, am I supposed to?
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Yep. Zelensky is trying his best to drag the US or NATO into direct conflict with Russia because he knows he cant continue as is. THAT is WWIII.
And that's exactly what Trump is avoiding.

So Trump is stopping WW3 by publicly dressing down the leader of an invaded country by using the talking points of the leader of the invading country?
That is some serious 4D chess and deal making.
Maybe he can exclude Ukraine from the talks and sign a "Munich Agreement" type deal with Putin and make sure he stops with the Russian speaking areas of Ukraine.

It's not 3d or 4d chess; it's simply an acknowledgement of the facts. Ukraine is very unlikely to win this war. The best case scenario for them is a prolonged stalemate with the money that props up their economy (and gets "lost" in the shuffle) continuing to flow. Russia does not give a flying fuck about losses or human life. They've shown that over and over from WWII to Afghanistan to now. They will just try to outlast the Ukrainians. Ukraine is already forcibly conscripting young men. Ukraine wants and needs soldiers because they are running out.
As for the "dressing down": The deal was agreed upon. Signing the mineral agreement was literally the reason Zelensky was in Washington. Zelensky then tried to add in the "security" shit which he meant as US troops. Trump and Vance rightfully told him to go fuck himself and that he should be grateful for what he's getting and has gotten. And for the record, Trump is not the first president to go off on Zelensky for not being grateful. Biden did too:
Biden lost temper with Zelenskyy in June phone call when Ukrainian leader asked for more aid Biden had barely finished telling Zelenskyy he’d just greenlighted another $1 billion in military assistance when the Ukrainian president started listing all the additional help he needed. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/nation ... -rcna54592
The bottom line is Ukraine needs a peace deal more than Russia does. It's easy to get Ukraine to the bargaining table. Russia? Not as easy. The logic is why insult them when you need them at the table as well. Zelensky being an argumentative fool does not help his case.
Well, Ukraine can be Europe's and Canada's problem now. Have fun. Starmer already said he's willing to put UK troops in harms way.

So your all for war mongers invading other countries. Got it.
You'll be happy when your Canadian brothers are sent over, right?
There was a real possibility for peace just days ago.
Democrats are now the pro-war party.

Before Trump started w/ his insistence on a mineral deal, there was a better chance for peace with a traditional ceasefire negotiation. The war is at a stalemate, and both Russia and Ukraine were having trouble with casualties and troop levels.
What card would Zelensky have received from Trump if he had signed the mineral deal? It sounded like Trump was willing to continue support if the deal got signed.
Or do you have another theory on Trump's card analogy?
