feel free to call me names, but I don't get it? my cheapwad friend that is a high level engineer is supplied with what was then (this was probably 5 years ago) the top of the line i phone and it just didn't work. It worked for calls but not unless he walked in the middle of his estate. I say that because he has about 10 acres and this is an area where houses are side by side. Then he goes out in the middle of his yard to use it, as in 100 yards from home and barn, asks google a question, like buffalo wild wings number, we're in michigan , phone says, 5 locations in nebraska" . I've probably seen he and his wife, she got the same phone, from his employer, and they never work, call him, "phone is not in service" . Meanwhile, I have a phone from amazon, i think it was cheapest, $45 about a year ago, anywhere on his property I make calls, I pay $5 every 2 months talk and text, so he tells me his employer pays $180 a month for each phone. I just said "that's why those appliances you make cost so much money". It seems like a contest at times for people, not me, my son has some sort of $2800 google phone , he states he needs it because he makes video games, but I sure don't get it. end of rant, and it's J-Bird, it's not "jaybird" My mom designed my "qsl" card, that was a little postcard you mailed to people when you made radio contact, but, to be honest, my parents knew I was "special" but my mom always said "but he's still a pretty good guy, he just used way too much drugs and alcohol" I feel pretty bad looking back on it but late 70's, all thru '80's , early '90's , it was just non stop, mainly alcohol and cocaine. Not like today. Shit , probably buy cocaine today and it will have fentanyl. I've never understood "why sell a drug that kills your customers". But I have a fully functioning brain (almost!) and I guess dealers just want profit. That's one of the biggest problems in USA today, dis-honest drug dealers.
