One of my favorite Subs on Reddit is called still not a drag queen. It showcases all of the child sex abuse cases and adult sex abuse cases that are committed by men, usually Republican Christian men.

Kyle Travis Colton, 36, of Citrus Heights, California, is charged in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia with a felony offense of obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder and misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building or grounds, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

A Kane County man was caught in an internet sting operation with thousands of images of children being sexually abused, along with a child sex doll and soiled children's underwear, police say.

Tyi Kay McKinlay, 43, a registered sex offender and convicted felon who resides in Kanab, was arrested and booked into the Kane County Jail on May 28. He faces 50 second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one misdemeanor count of possession of a child sex doll, according to the probable cause statement filed in support of the arrest.

A 41-year-old former Worship Minister at the Calumet Street Christian Church in Centralia has been sentenced to four years’ probation on five felony counts of child pornography.

As part of the plea, Ian Mophet was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18 and to have no devices that connect to the internet.

The first thing you’ve posted in ages that I concur with

This sort of loosely reminds me of my old Scouting days. I started as a Boy Scout but later went into the Sea Scouts, in the mid to late 70's. We always heard rumors about certain Boy Scout leaders on the area council that you really didn't want be alone with when a door or tent flap closed. But they were rumors, and rumors can be what they often are, just nasty talk on a young boy's tongue. They were the cream of local society, powerful men who controlled the industry, agriculture, and law of the region and state. Men who got listened to and were deeply respected by their peers, looked up to by all. They were devout Christian men, leaders of their churches, prayerful and knew God was on their side. Yet there were rumors...

Which all came out during the 80's and 90's, these very same men who led the local Scout council were found to be pedophiles, well, technically ephebophiles, since they only went after teenage boys, not young children. Being a higher Scout leader gave them access to the very thing they desired, and could have that access without question or concern. Many were all in it together, in fact, hiding each other and shielding themselves from disclosure.

And here's the odd thing: they didn't consider themselves to be abhorrent, it was for them perfectly natural. It didn't diminish their roles in society or business, and they continued to hold their vaulted positions of good Christian manhood. They hated homosexuals, anyone they considered to be perverts, who didn't live life as these scions thought they should. They went after porn of all kinds, while holding on to their own supply of preference. Anyone or anything that didn't follow their narrow view was morally and spiritually repugnant. But their own tastes into the illicit was just fine.

They worked hard to root out all those in Scouting that didn't follow their own straight path, and many capable Scout leaders were shoved out of their roles. When I went into Sea Scouts and joined a ship (ie troop), our ship's captain, the equivalent of a troop leader, was a closeted gay man. He was a wonderful leader, taught us well, and produced not a few quartermasters, the Sea Scout rank of Eagle Scout. We knew, our fathers knew, but it was not important and didn't effect how we interacted with him. But if the local council had known, he would have been out in an instant. I never learned what happened to him later, but his lifestyle didn't not affect his leadership abilities. He wasn't into young boys, at all, so why should it have been a concern to anyone?

It's just an indication how a person can be totally sick in the head, yet worked hard against others sick in the head because they don't share the other's behaviors.
