Re: RIP Ozzy
Maybe the saddest part is , and this is from a guy that's seen him about 50 times or so in concert, first one was blizzard of Ozz tour when we wondered why the shirts all had Blizzard of Ozz on them and not ozzy ozbourne, and I have seen a guy in a booth backstage helping Ozzy sing, my friend also saw that at another show and you could hear that, or alot of pre taped stuff will play for his vocals, but at that farewell show I really think he was singing totally live with no help and as I watched it I kept thinking how well he was singinging, but if you've ever seen him live his vocals were more often than not just not very good. I thought he did a pretty good job at the farewell show. Pretty amazing he lived as long as he did especially with all the health issues he's had, really since that quad bike accident, from that point it seemed like a slow downhill journey. He will be missed.

Re: RIP Ozzy
i hate to "rail on Ozzy" but he's had an amazingly large amount of good luck and good musicians. This song is a very good example, which was actually written by Lemmy Kilmister of motorhead. But like finding Randy Rhodes, I think any other guitarist at that time and I don't know if he would have gotten as popular as he did. Just seems like alot of good luck all along the way.

The notion of "luck" in any given industry or profession worth millions is more often the result of surrounding yourself with the right connected people, or catching the attention of the right person as they happened by, and seeing what they could offer.jsdspif wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 6:51 pm

I give you Jim Steinman as an easy example I can spend time on right now -
That sounds like a certain Canadian that was elevated by a song, and everything that also made Meatloaf, as it did -

Just an example of how the right people in the right place can take the right performer to another level, IF the performer allows them.

Trump had him killed to distract from the Epstein files.

Jim Steinman is an amazing songwriter and lyricist. But he's a seriously weird dude.woohooguy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 7:23 pmThe notion of "luck" in any given industry or profession worth millions is more often the result of surrounding yourself with the right connected people, or catching the attention of the right person as they happened by, and seeing what they could offer.jsdspif wrote: ↑Tue Jul 22, 2025 6:51 pm

Call me crazy but I generally prefer his solo stuff to anything with Black Sabbath.

Sharon had him killed because he was losing her money now with no job and big medical bills.
