No. I know that, but he's worth something to start with. what else would you have to sweeten the pot with? Dallas has 2 first round picks in this draft.

I don't see how it would work for the Raiders. They need A LOT of players. The best way to make that happen is to have a quality QB who they don't have to pay a lot of money to, freeing up cap space for other positional players. I don't know Dak's salary, but I'm guessing $40M plus per year. That would hamstring the Raiders ability to shore up other positions.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 2:08 pmNo. I know that, but he's worth something to start with. what else would you have to sweeten the pot with? yes, it would. i think dak is closer to $60 million. jerry jones has just never figured out how to budget within the salary cap.B-Tender wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 3:36 pmI don't see how it would work for the Raiders. He'll make $40 million this year, but his cap hit is $75 million.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:13 pmyes, it would. i think dak is closer to $60 million. jerry jones has just never figured out how to budget within the salary cap.B-Tender wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 3:36 pmI don't see how it would work for the Raiders. its hard to even imagine. i'm sick to death of hearing the excuses about stats and numbers. meanwhile the team finishes in the bottom. I don't know how many years I had to listen to the excuses for Romo and how great his stats were, blah blah bah. Now the same thing with Dak. The only stat that should matter is play off wins/percentage.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 7:51 pmHe'll make $40 million this year, but his cap hit is $75 million.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:13 pmyes, it would. i think dak is closer to $60 million. jerry jones has just never figured out how to budget within the salary cap.B-Tender wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 3:36 pmI don't see how it would work for the Raiders. From my perspective, Jerry is a little like Al Davis in his last years, but with more money. The game continues to evolve. He needs to step aside and let someone(s) else be in charge of player personnel.Animal wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 8:38 pmits hard to even imagine. i'm sick to death of hearing the excuses about stats and numbers. meanwhile the team finishes in the bottom. Re: The NFL playoffs.
I have no skin left in these games. There's no team left that I can really get behind.
But that said, I wouldn't mind watching a Denver/Houston AFC Championship game for no other reason than to watch 2 elite defenses (with fair-to-middling QBs) smash it out to a final score of 6-3.

If it is I LOVE that his last NFL pass was a pick-6.

On this day in 1967, the first Super Bowl, pitting the NFL and AFL champions, was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with the Green Bay Packers defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10.

That is great. My grandfather was a HUGE Niner and pointed out the drafting of golden domer Joe Montana even thought that team was the laughing stock. The sad thing was my grandpaw never saw any of the SB wins.

Its a shame to see an NFL season come down to an outcome as a result of the weather in that 4th quarter of the Patriot Denver game yesterday. What a terrible game.
