Even today there are some teachers unions that push for "remote learning" because of the "Covid Threat" and other dubious health concerns.
The reality is they don't want to go into work.
The draconian Covid response by many, the learning loss in students, the families destroyed because Walmart and Target could be open but the corner store could not. Placing Covid positive folks into nursing homes causing the deaths of the most vulnerable. The censorship of anything the administration didn't agree with.
The whole fucking thing is/was a study on how to not do things.
