How do you think this defeat has played out for the US? Good war?
Of course gas prices were affected here. But as you people said in the early weeks of the Ukraine war, isnt it worth it to have higher gas prices in order to fight evil?

Defeat is strong. Slight American advantage is more accurate. Their military is in shambles, as is their manufacturing infrastructure. Did I like this war? I hated it, and said so from the gitgo.
Defeat is clearly what it is, their military has retained about 70% of pre war capability and can rapidly rebuild, from your own intel assessments. They're in control of Hormuz and planning to charge 'fees', and able to close it any time because America has demonstrated impotence, couldn't defend bases in the region, couldn't bomb to victory and didn't dare to invade. All this 'deal' really is is an extension to the ceasefire with an agreement to try and agree on something down the line, in return for which Iran is getting 12bn for starters. All this because chump tore up the JCPOA because he's a petulant, ignorant moron and Obama got the deal. Absolute best case scenario now is reinstating some form of that deal on worse terms, and that's looking unlikely since chump is too embarrassed to even admit what is in the MOU at this point. He's clearly just kicked the can down the road intending to try and get Iran to agree to what they've flat out refused.

Seems you cannot grasp the actual geopolitical implications of this 'fee'. Who do you think is paying that? You think its us? That funny, considering we dont get our oil from there.

China, India, and the Eurocucks lost in this, especially China. For years, China has been getting Iranian oil on the cheap. Now, their price just went up, a lot. Trump leveled the market, not just with oil, but with all other downstream products. Sure, the UK will have to pay more in gas, but they can always come to us

So 'clear defeat'? Your Trump hate is showing

MAGAs just cannot grasp this global commodity thing. The text of the MOU has finally been admitted, the US got spanked.

What exactly do you think chumps's war achieved? He's just trying to get back to the 2015 deal he tore up at this point, and failing

Kinda nice the 14 million dollar no bid contract coat of paint is peeling off in sheets, at least now folks get to see it when it floats over the algae. Maybe Iran will chip in some of their 300bn dollar reconstruction fund to help sort out the real problems everyone except trump have long known about

The free world gives a fuck about Taiwan, formerly including America. You claim to object to the war but just can't bring yourself to criticise the chump who has humiliated America, surrendered to Iran, destroyed your alliances and lost bases across the middle east. It's been a disaster, ask yourself why you can't admit that.

MAGA chumpers have always had trouble facing reality, I expect you can't acknowledge the reflecting pool fuck up either. This abject surrender to get Iran to even agree to try to negotiate a deal down the line is already failing, you'll keep denying it until the king tells you a new talking point.

Turns out chump can't even surrender effectively, your Israel puppet masters are still attacking Lebanon and the strait is still closed after chump straight out said that would cause economic disaster in excusing his surrender.

The beauty of president chump is he's fucked up so badly that it's just a matter of time before even the delusional MAGAs have to admit it. All that whining about Obama returning 1.7bn of their own money, and chump in his desperation has promised them 24bn with a 300bn recontruction fund, explicitly with no restriction on how the spend it. America has lost wars before but it has never been humiliated on this scale. 100% chump.

You understand that is not coming from US taxpayers, right?
It's coming from Iran's neighbors and surrounding businesses that will now have a vested interest in keeping things running smoothly.

Just like the ballroom eh? No cost to the tax payer until whoopsydaisy y'all are paying for it after all. Chump doesn't actually have a deal here he's just trying to buy a ceasefire with details to be worked out later. Iran has him over a barrel, I think the likelihood of him sticking to no taxpayer money going in is extremely low

Nice deflection.
The $300 billion is not coming from the US government or US taxpayers. It refers to a private-sector investment and reconstruction fund outlined in a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed around mid-June 2026 by President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian (with mediation involvement). This framework aims to end recent US/Israel-Iran hostilities.
The US "undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least USD 300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran." The implementation mechanism will be finalized within 60 days as part of a final deal. The US will grant all required licenses, waivers, and permissions for the financial transactions (i.e., sanctions relief to enable the money to flow).
Commitments reportedly exceed $150 billion (more than half) already from private companies across multiple regions, including Gulf Arab states (GCC countries), Asia (e.g., South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia), the US, South America, and Africa.
Gulf states and their companies are frequently highlighted as key potential backers (Vice President JD Vance referred to funding from a "Gulf Coast Coalition").
The US role is facilitative only: lifting sanctions, providing waivers, and working with partners to structure the plan.

TL;DR
We kicked their ass militarily and now we are in control of the outside funding mechanisms for their rebuilding.

You don't seem to have grasped what I said. This fund doesn't exist, it's a pledge to get them 300bn for recontruction, or spending on missiles, or whatever else they like, that pledge is from a pathological liar. That pathological liar pledged the ballroom wouldn't cost voters a cent, which was a lie. You acting like his pledges mean anything is therefore a little silly isn't it.

Here is what is in the MOU-
Point 6: The United States of America undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least $300 billion (£225 billion) for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mechanism for the implementation of this plan will be finalised as part of a final deal within 60 days. All required licenses, waivers and permissions needed for the relevant financial transactions will be granted by the United States of America.

That's what Iran agreed and signed on the slush fund. The rest is what the liars (correctly) think they can sell you to cover up the surrender for today.

Y'all are also giving them 24bn back 'immediately' after all the whining about the superior Obama deal returning 1.7. not a peep on that one eh?

The MOU is total capitulation from the US, victory for Iran and yet still they are the ones unilaterally rejecting it now because the terms aren't sweet enough until you are forced to control Israel.

Also after whining about Obama's deal returning 1.7bn, a deal which is now what chump is desperately trying to get back to, you can't even acknowledge chump is returning another 24bn. You just have to pretend not to see this.
