There's only a 3 year difference in the lower sentencing range between manslaughter (2) and murder (5) in Texas, and he's not getting less that 5 with that video. The prosecutor in your politicised legal system with a high profile case is going to be under pressure to match the Guyger verdict, that case was more ambiguous and she got 10 for murder.

i didn't click your link, but i heard on the local radio (because I live around fort worth) that the guy was not responding to a "welfare check", but instead an "open residence" (or whatever they called it). And that when he saw someone thru the window he called out to them to show their hands and don't move. Instead the woman grabbed her gun and turned and pointed it at the window.

I'm not saying she was stupid for doing that, I would have probably done the same thing if i kept a gun that handy all the time, but its simply not as was first described.
