Re: UJR NFL FOOTBALL POOL: Wild Card Weekend
And Megman would be higher than that moron. Not that it matters, because he's not included in the pool, but if wins were 2 points, and pushes were 1 point, RD would have 96 points, Megman would have 95 points, and the not included in the pool WTDunningKruger would have 94. Or based on winning percentage RD 53.9%, Megman 53.4%, and WTDK 52.8%. It's pretty simple WTDK, you're not included in the pool, and your winning percentage isn't leading. Do you understand that? Nah, you probably can't grasp it.B-Tender wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:01 amUm, based on these figures, RD should be listed in first place.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:52 amReservoir Dog wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:48 am OVERALL STANDINGS:

I'm curious to see how the fucking idiot is going try to alter the math. Are games that were pushes going to count as zero? Were wins going to count as 3? I'm waiting here with bated breath to see his math. I know he has nothing, but I'm waiting for him to invent some way to show he's leading. Any time, WTDK.

Re: UJR NFL FOOTBALL POOL: Wild Card Weekend
No sir. Total wins lead. Ties aren't some category you just throw out of the mix. Total wins per picks made total is the winner. For example, in real life, if you were actually doing this by betting money, you would still have the same 3 catagories. Wins, losses and ties. Say $500 per game. Win and you get $500. Lose and not only do you lose $500 but you also owe a 10-15% "Vig". Tie and you still owe the 10-15% "Vig". So the losses and ties are amplified on the negative side. So RD is behind me by 1 win, but you have to factor in the math on 10-15% Vig on his losses and ties on top of being behind by 1 win. So, enough about that BS. 7 games left and 6 of the 8 are still in the running. Will be interesting and fun.B-Tender wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 3:01 amUm, based on these figures, RD should be listed in first place.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:52 amReservoir Dog wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 1:48 am OVERALL STANDINGS:

And just like that... the UJR football pool has a Vig.
I only have one question.
Why isn't anyone sending me their 10-15%?

OMG! What I'd give right now to be able to go back to the old UJ and dig up all the posts you made about how percentages win football pools, not total wins.WestTexasCrude wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:39 pm Total wins lead. By stating that only wins matter, he is saying that a tie is effectively a loss.

I am a daily degenerate sportsbetter (meaning I will bet NBA if there is no other action) and the only time a push hurts you is if you are doing a parlay at the wrong sportsbook.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 4:04 pmI've been a casual bettor on NFL football games for 35 years and I've never paid a vig on a push in my life.Burn1dwn wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2020 3:28 pmYou don't pay a "vig" on "pushes" in football.
