My thoughts on Brady being the GOAT.

Tom Brady is a great Quarterback. There is absolutely no denying it.
Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees are also great Quarterbacks.
So what's the difference? Why is Brady about to go to his 9th Super Bowl and the rest of those guys have seen one, two or none?

The difference is that Brady was lucky enough to get handcuffed to the greatest Head Coach in the history of the NFL.
Bill Belichick's football genius, preparation, game planning and ability to make adjustments are unmatched and probably never will be. Belichick could have won 5 Super Bowls with any of the other QB's I mentioned above (he probably would have won 8 if he had Aaron Rodgers). Belichick could have won 5 Super Bowls with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Shit, I bet he could have won 2 or 3 Super Bowls with A.J. McCarron or JaMarcus Russell.

Make no mistake about it ... Tom Brady is going to his 9th Super Bowl thanks to Bill Belichick. It's not the other way around.
If Tom Brady played for any other team in the league, there's no fucking way he'd have 5 rings right now.

Tom Brady is a great Quarterback. He deserves all the praise he gets, and he deserves those rings.

But Joe Montana is the GOAT.

Joe Montana was lucky enough to be paired with the best coach of his generation in Bill Walsh. Some of your argument could apply to him as well.

In the span of 10 years Joe Gibbs took the Washington Redskins to 4 Super Bowls and won 3 of them. He won those 3 Super Bowls using 3 different starting Quarterbacks. Everyone remembers Joe Theismann ... but who remembers Doug Williams or Mark Rypien?
What I'm saying is that Bill Belichick could have won 5 Super Bowls using just about any halfway decent QB in the league.
On the other hand, I don't think Bill Walsh wins 3 Super Bowls without Joe Montana.

I'll make one final prediction. I think the Rams win maybe not easy but with a statement. I like the young Head coach and what's he's done there in LA with all the distraction of moving the team there, no fan base, etc. Has all 4 phases of the game locked in. Of course, they are young which is the only reason I expect a close game. MY 2 cents worth anyway. See you after the game. Enjoy.
