Not even close. Some communist countries become communist because of overly corrupt governments with dramatic disparity in wealth and the rest after a dramatic revolution of forceful change. Name a single country that slid from a significantly socialistic economy to Communism.

There are currently 5 communist countries in the world remaining and all went through civil wars to get there.

Awesome. You are lucky to have that. I think Bikers point is that both your 401k and your pension are invested in the stock market and that a healthy and growing market benefits more than just the wealthy. You yourself and millions of others are benefiting right now.

lol...there is a lot of ignorance about democratic socialism and authoritarianism. Capitalism and Social democracy can work great together. Except it should work for the majority of people not an elite class of corporate executives and big stockholders making all the decisions. We have a perfect example right now of the Republican party basically working for corporate lobbyist and dismantling as many regulations and protections they can get there hands on and stuffing there pockets as quick as they can all while paying no federal taxes.

Golly.

Sounds a lot like voters from 3 or four states deciding what's best for the other 46. Is there another example of that in politics?

Nope, The Electoral College gives voters in rural areas much more say in whose President than voters in cities.

So you admit what you commented before is complete bullshit as there is no combination of 5 states that can get a President to 270

Can't win? Change the rules. Or drag in the courts. It works for crybabies.

the electoral college got us Trump. It's working exactly as it should. It protects small states from the tyranny of liberal shit-holes. Someday you'll be grateful it does.

Pure projection everyone knows changing the rules when they cannot win is at the top of the GOP playbook. And you have a lot of balls mentioning dragging the courts and being a crybaby when that is Trumps pastime.

Tyranny of the majority. The Electoral College prevents it and ensures the concerns and voices of less populated states are still addressed. The elite already despise the flyover country, does anyone really think that if their votes are rendered meaningless that would improve?

Amazing how conservatives lie to themselves. Ranking after ranking has red states at the bottom of livability and wealth. The U.N.compares Alabama's poverty to a 3rd world country and the worst in the developed world.

The homeless problem is very bad and a tough problem to solve but homeless encampments in certain areas of cities don't compare to state wide systemic failures in education, health care, infant mortality like some of these red states. Your so focused on finding some blue trees to hate you don't see the fucking red forest.

Homeless shitting and pissing over themselves and our parks is THE bellwether issue for a supposedly wealthy state like California.

The leader of your party doesn't give a flying finger fick about it. All she cares about is orange man bad.

If red states are so horrible why are most of the top growing states red? Could it be people fleeing high tax blue states for lower taxes is a factor?
