Oh, you think most homelessness is a housing issue. How cute!
Did you read your link?
He never does. All fake news anyway, what he should do is gather his own data. Just stroll around the homeless and tell them their issue isn't that they don't have housing. I think we'd all appreciate the results.

I read his housing proposal, and a summary of the oregon law, in the course of replying in this thread. Sorry, I know it chafes your balls when I edumacate myself on a topic under discussion, but you really should give it a go. So, is Oregon socialist or not? Sack up and answer, you pussy.

We're discussing Bernie's policies, not Oregons
Part of Bernie's proposal is national rent control, and Oregon in 2019 introduced statewide rent control. You are just pretending you can't see the relevance because you are a cowardly mental midget incapable of honest discussion of anything. You will never dare to answer the question I've asked a few times now on whether you are declaring Oregon is a socialist state, because you know it isn't. Where reality conflicts with a pronouncement you have made, you run away.

Already said they weren't, due to using different rates. Why are you so afraid of saying whether or not Oregon is socialist now? I really don't get what goes on in the mind of someone who is too afraid to answer a simple question and incapable of either reconsidering the flaw exposed in their position or just dropping it. It's weird. I got past that at about the age of 5.

I'm trying to get you to face whichever you mean with your declaration that your link shows Bernie is a secret socialist. This policy is your basis for calling bernie a socialist commie isn't it? You clearly can't find anything less than 50 years old on your original contention that he wants to nationalise energy companies so you came up with this. Did you mean the whole of Bernie was a socialist commie, or just this one policy?

Tell you what, let's try to shortcut a few of the dodging posts. I assume you're eventually going to declare it is a socialist policy to cap rents at inflation plus x% with an exemption for new builds and property improvements, at which point I will ask you what socialism is, we will establish it means the government controlling the means of production, in this case owning the houses, which simply does not fit with privately owned and rented accommodation giving returns to the private investors that hold them. Think it through, we really don't need to go another couple of pages for you to either grasp this or admit you'll never admit it. I'll even toss you a bone, Bernie is pitching too low at x=3, Oregon is more at the mark with x=7, because the property investment has to offer better returns than a stock tracker. Even if traitorous moscow mitch is removed though, the compromise that can pass will still be more like 10.

If the government produces and controls housing unit, is that socialist?
That would be social housing, it is distinct from rent control which is what we were discussing before you ran away with this dodge. If you grow a pair, you big baby, and discuss what we were actually discussing first, I will then explore the social housing aspect with you. If you are too pathetic, childish and cowardly to discuss the rent control side, I won't.

In case you missed the edit:

What a perfect way to ensure that demand will always exceed supply.

One of my favorites.

In the US, bread waits for buyers.
in Cuba, buyers wait for the bread.

Unless it's one of our local bakeries.

Do you think maybe its from decades of US sanctions and embargos devastating their economy? No bank or foreign business will do business or extend credit to them in fear of US retaliation. You may think that's just wonderful but the one's getting hurt are the regular people not the elites at the top. Your ability to shrug off others suffering is pretty amazing to me. We can only pray nothing horrible befalls you and you find yourself in need.

You should get out more. If you did you'd build your knowledge base from more sources, like folks on the ground, not Fox or PMSNBC.

I had a nice visit with an English speaking Cuban tobacco farmer, after going horseback riding around his plantation. Castro's syndicate lets him keep 10% of his production. The rest goes to Cohiba and other top-tier brands. Getting up an hour earlier every day has zero impact on his wealth. He holds back on his production, lies when he can, and sells his own stoges for $100 a box.

Havana ran out of chicken. They ran out of their local beer, Cristal, which was delicious. It'd be like runnng out of Coors in Denver.

He's a social democrat, like the Nordic model. Free enterprise is welcomed, encouraged, and taxed at a higher rate. The results are simply better.

They crowed pretty loud about not taking a bailout but they took a massive loan from the department of energy right about the same time.
