Re: Wuhan Coronavirus
Alright, I'm a gonna do my best to try to explain what's going on here.
*sigh
You see, Trump is a business man and he's all about reducing panic and preventing hysteria that would cause his precious stock market to crash and go even lower. He's a trooper and up until this pandemic he's done a great job at it.
However, when a "real" crisis occurs like this and critical action needs to be taken people aren't stupid, that's the thing that Trump doesn't realize. So when he tries to sell his snake oil and make stuff up people quickly realize it and rightfully criticize him for doing just that.
Neither Trump, nor MacGyver are going to make things better in this situation. It takes an actual intelligent person that is comprehensive, brilliant and has all the bases covered like Cuomo to do something like that.
Sorry Trump, you really aren't doing that great of job during this pandemic so far. I actually hope that things will change and you'll get your second wind or something but I am becoming increasingly doubtful that something like that will happen.

All I'm sayin' is that Macadamia nuts are vastly superior to bland flavorless cashew nuts, any day of the week, and that is fact.

Brazil nuts are a close second, also much better than cashews.

And you think I am nutty?Okay, Nutty McNut. I'll give you something to think about.
Let's talk about Hydroxychloroquine as a "maybe" drug to treat coronavirus. There are basically 3 types of people you could have as president.
1 would be a scientist that would be extremely measured in responses and not dare try a drug on a human patient until it has been proven safe for that particular disease under those particular circumstances. No room for error.
2 would be a politician that would never bring up anything that wasn't proven because of what the media might do about it. At least not until it was vetted by all his pollsters and handlers.
3 would be a businessman that wants to know why can't we try it? Is there a reason why we can't just try it? If not, then fuck it, let's try it.
I don't say that because i'm a trumpster. i say that because i'm a businessman and i have to do things like that every day. right now i'm considering measuring employees temperature with a meat thermometer and using painter rags as masks.
wut?

Trump signals openings: US not 'built to be shut down'

President Trump said Monday that his administration would work to allow local economies to “cautiously resume” activities at the appropriate time amid the coronavirus outbreak, adding that the United States “wasn’t built to be shut down.”
“Our public health experts, who are terrific, are studying the variation and the disease across the country, and we will be using data to recommend new protocols to allow local economies to cautiously resume their activity at the appropriate time,” Trump told reporters in the White House briefing room Monday evening.
“Our country wasn’t built to be shut down,” Trump continued. “This is not a country that was built for this.”
The remarks came one week after Trump announced social distancing recommendations for the American public and represented a strong signal the president would work to loosen those guidelines for certain areas of the United States in the near future.
The coronavirus pandemic, which has sickened upward of 40,000 Americans, has had a dire impact on the U.S. economy, forcing businesses to close and causing massive layoffs.
Trump declared that the American economy would soon be up and running and said it would happen more quickly than three or four months from now.
"America will again, and soon, be open for business," Trump said.
