Hey Burn1down, you gonna be able to watch the game tomorrow?
Unfortunately I had to finish an appt. during the first 3 inning. Heard a little in between homes on the radio. Leitner seemed like he was ready to hang himself in the third when they left the "Sheriff" (he has sucked since his little weird feud with Alonso last year) in too long. Sounded more depressed than I remember ever hearing him.
I am watching now in top of 4th, here for the comeback.
Paddock was throwing cookies down the middle. Padre hitters need to stary patient. They can chip away at this.

I do miss post-season baseball though, I love it when my team is in.

Not much the Pads can do with the injuries but I think I would have started Davies over Paddack. I think it was more of a they didn't want to hurt the young pitcher's ego thing. They both are obviously going to pitch but Davies has been the better pitcher this year. Makes no sense.

That's awesome, they have the '84 and '98 World Series teams sitting behind home plate. Gwynn went from Eazy E to Dr. Dre in the 14 years with his hair.

Watching your baseball team in the post season is better than football or basketball IMO.
But baseball playoffs without a team in, is the worst of the three sports.

Sorry to see Cronenworth have his first rookie moments come as rally killing base running blunders. He has been a good story this year.

Did you see the whole game last night? Big sigh of releif in SD, for a day at least.

His outrageous ERA in 1968 was pretty much the only way he could win. That team didn't score many runs for him.
It showed in his record that year, which was 22-9. Nine losses with that ERA?

Gotta admit, it's fun watching the Tampa Bay Rays with their Walmart level payroll destroying all the big boys.

They should make Moneyball 2 if they win the series.

Even Billy Beane spent more money than the Rays did!

It is seriously amazing the moves they make. Like trading away aging outfielders that like to hang out at strip clubs before they get stabbed.

That trade worked out for the Pads though.
