Yeah, and they actually lowered it now to 400k. So if you invested some hard earned money on a stock, held it for years, and then cashed it out, the IRS comes and hammers you. Thats unAmerican

this capital gains bullshit really pisses me off. most investments we did many years ago knowing the capital gains tax would be 20%. Now, in the middle of the game, after the growth of the investment, they change the rules and double the tax. all they see are $$$ signs and have no idea the long term damage to investments that these decisions make.

But the meme doesn't say that...... it says that Republicans and others are saying that it does....... The meme is saying what you're saying that capital gains are not taken out of 401k
