I was at a place called the Truck Yard yesterday. Packed, no masks, bands playing. Capt would’ve been horrified but it was awesome to have some sense of normalcy

i have started to notice less and less people wearing masks into stores lately. i was in Cabela's today and all of the people that work there had on a mask, but I would guess that maybe 30% of the people shopping were wearing a mask.
holy shit, the line to buy ammo was long as shit and they said the line started at 6 am. And the doors opened at 10.

i remember going lunch with a democrat right after Trump was elected. I hardly ever talk politics in conversation but there was a tv in the restaurant on some news channel. And this guy couldn't stop himself. it was kind of weird that this guy was so vocal about it. He was just foaming at the mouth that Trump was elected. He could not stop talking about it. This was just a few days or a couple of weeks after he had taken office and I remember the guy saying that Trump would be impeached. I laughed and said something about how impossible that would be (and we were talking about actually being removed from office, not the impeachment vote) and he was dead serious and wanted to bet me. I thought the guy had lost his mind. And it was the first I really realized how obsessed that side was with it all.

And clearly he is still the defacto leader of your whack job party. When your party boos and censures hard core Republicans because they repudiated trump and trumpism your party has a problem. So as long as they make trump their god he is relevant and im very cool about bringing him up for mockery for at least 4 more years
