If I fuck up and have the audacity to run my AC or do some laundry after I get off work I pay as much as 42c. I think that’s roughly triple what Texans pay.

I pay 12.1 cents/kwh for all solar energy, which is about 30% higher than standard plans. I'm sure dot does his share and pays higher rates for renewables

i am paying 8 cents a KwH. Plus they charge a "distribution" charge on top of that, which basically doubles the KwH charge.

Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube/Google (they're the same company) are -not- the government, they are private platforms. They can discriminate and censor all they want to, whether we like it or not. It's the same thing over thirty years ago when I ran my own Fidonet dial-in bulletin board: if I didn't like your username or the files you uploaded or your ideas on the BB discussion board, I could ban you and delete your entire account. Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube/Google are under no stated compunction to be open and free platforms that aren't subject to some form of censorship if and when they determine to apply it. They are not owned by any government agency and do not operate under the restrictions of the First Amendment. They can restrict you and your posts in practically any way they want. And if you don't like it, go form your own Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube/Google platform, nothing's stopping you.

I would agree with that except when Parlor made its complaint, it was because Amazon owned the server and without that they were shut down. I don't know how servers work on that scale, but that seems to be the point of convergence.
